I think these are very good prices.
I was wondering if it is realistic to buy a car from VA and have them ship it to me. Not sure how much the dealer would charge for shipping (~ 8 hours driving). I feel like even with a shipping fee (assuming $1000 now) it is better than the deal I got so far locally. Any advice on this?

I test drove the ASPEC and liked it quite a bit except I am not sure I like the red lights. I think my 50 year old eyes may prefer the stand lights but I was interested in your experiences?

I've investigated this route several times. The last time I was going to be charged $700 to ship the car from Dallas to Denver (13-14 hour drive). It's worth investigating, especially if you can save money. They other thing you can do is try to get a local dealer to match it an add on $500-700 since that's what you would pay for shipping. Be up front, and see. I had one dealership offer that once.

Where in PA are you grouser? Those are really good quotes, like you my old eyes would prefer the lights on the tech lol. Would love to move up to the Advanced but having a hard time convincing myself it's worth the $$$ but if I had a chance to drive both I'd see if the dampening system in the advanced is enough to shell out more.. I've contacted my local Acura dealer but with this lockdown getting a test drive on any is not a option at this time.
1st off, is this really a good time to get a good deal?
I got ~17% off MSRP on a brand new 2020 FWD A Spec here in FL. It came with tint, floor mats, mud guards, trunk tray and nitrogen filled tires (lol like that matters). I bought about a month ago when COVID was the worst in terms of shut downs and impact (many businesses in FL have since reopened). I think now is a damn good time to buy due to the circumstances

I am in the Lehigh Valley. Area of PA.
I test drove an Aspec AWD I have to say I’m not a fan of the push button transmission but I think I could get used to it.
Also not a fan of the auto shut off to save fuel it just feels foreign to me and I’m concerned about long term durability of that.
I do like the size and drive but it didn’t wow me like I hoped.

The benefits of electronic transmission control will likely make that interface the new normal in most cars. It may be difficult to avoid that before long. The same is true for stop/start systems. Automakers earn economy credits for these systems and they may be part of ICE vehicles more and more. Crystal ball stuff, but based in truth. As for longterm durability, stop/start systems are just another engineering challenge. Starting systems and engine internals (specifically main bearings) are engineered and purpose-built for the demands of s/s. We don't yet have a long history to point to, but this is what engineers do: they build things to do a job as specified.
Having said all that, you still have to like it. This is an RDX owner forum so you'll hear from a lot of people who liked the vehicle so much they bought it. But it's your money, so get what you want. Good luck.

I felt the size was perfect, I really didn't need a bigger suv like my old Grand cherokee and didn't want something as small as the Lexus NX, I really like the push button trans, again my GC had a shifter with electronic trans and i liked that one also but not as much as the RDX's. My toughest "get used to" thing is coming from a V-6 to a turbo 4, the little turbo lag the RDX has was a bit concerning at first but I'm getting used to it and liking it more the more I drive it.
That said, I bought my RDX last Friday, its black on espresso, got what I think was a great deal, it was a demo(dealership's finance manager's loaner with 4,000 mi). Got it for $38,600 OTD plus with Acura 's CPO warranty its covered for 6 years/100,000 mi bumper to bumper coverage. Kind of crazy but their CPO warranty is actually better then it's new car warranty?

Which package did you get, Advance? Also, is it an SH-AWD?
Offer: $39,348.30 before tax with 4.45% interest. Black exterior and exterior.
Nearly 17% off MSRP. Good deal? Should I push to include some accessories ?
its the 4.45% that sticks out like a sore thumb. Can you pay off early without penalty? There might be better rates than this out there.
i don’t know how much you are borrowing at that rate but you should add in the interest over time to your total cost, not to mention lost of opportunity.
Thanks for the reply. I’m putting a big down payment. Roughly 3/4 of the car upfront. I ran the numbers and I’m basically paying $600 in interest over 3 years but I get the $1500 discount for not taking the 0.9% interest. Is that a bad move on my part?

also consider taking the loan, but paying most off a month later. All depends on the better deal you can get if you finance thru them.

Did this price include additional incentives other than the $1,500 Financing, i.e. Loyalty, First Responder? Any dealer add-ons? If not, that's a pretty great deal!

Based on the price, I'm guessing this is an A-Spec SH-AWD. In addition to the other questions asked (any incentives other than the $1500), where are you located? What dealer are you using?
Which dealer are you going to? I don't qualify for any of the incentives that you do, but I was wondering if they were budging on the base price before the incentives? i was looking to get an RDX as well.
Yes. SH-AWD. First responder, graduate, conquest. Still pretty good right?
Looks like you're getting the $750 for first responder, $500 for grad, and $1000 for conquest, correct? That would be a total of $2,250 in incentives/offers, not counting the $1500 from Acura. Since the MSRP is $47,425, this means the sale price must be $41,598 before your offers/incentives you just listed off (12.3% discount). I think the price is pretty good. If you like the car, go for it!
Sorry to bring this up here, but we were thinking to buy an RDX and found the following:
“A class action lawsuit has been filed alleging that a dangerous safety defect is causing 2016-2020 Acura MDX and 2019-2020 Acura RDX models to decelerate rapidly – rather than accelerate – when drivers step on the gas pedal.”
Have anyone here who owns RDX experienced this issue? How big deal can this be? Thanks!

Hi,
Here is the statement of the complaint:
"Plaintiff is informed and believe, and based thereon alleges, that the Class Vehicles contain design, manufacturing, and/or workmanship defects which cause sudden, rapid deceleration, engine stalls, hesitation upon depressing the gas pedal, abrupt shutdowns and shifts into neutral while driving, especially at highway speeds, due to miscommunication among the computers and software which control the engine, throttle and transmission (the “Defect”)."
yea, there is a whole thread about this, limp mode, hesitations are the keywords. You should read up and have the discussions there.
Thank you for the information!
Is it something we need to worry about? We are almost ready to buy an RDX. Now I don’t know if we should proceed.

If you read through the thread, you will get opinions from both sides. Some will say the problem is exaggerated because people usually complain on forums, you don't hear from thousands of owners out there without issue. My argument to that logic is that you are assuming every problematic owners comes this forum which is not the case.
The reality is that no one really knows the stats but we do know the problem exist and it's enough cases (and profit) for the lawyers to pick this up. Remember that most class action suits are not paid for upfront by the plaintiffs so usually lawyers. But I have to believe that this is a problem for a small subset of users so it seems even on this forum, you have more problem free owners.
My suggestion is that you take some of the advice given here about doing a thorough check when taking delivery, including take it for a test drive to see if you see any issues. This is not to say the problems won't appear later which seems to be the case for the ones who experienced them.
Good thing is that if the class action suit has merits and it actually won, all of the owners will benefit from either settlement or a recall to fix the issue.
Hey guys so I work at a Acura dealer and whoever is eligible for the loyalty rebate and is looking to buy a RDX Id recommend waiting until Friday. I just got word that Acura is going to drop an extra 1k for the loyalty rebate on Friday that should be good until the end of the month so If you are looking to lease the car it should bring your payments down about 28-30 less a month. In regards to the class action law suit, I had a customer actually mention that to me not long ago but I personally have a 19 Aspec RDX and I have yet experience that.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if the extra 1K loyalty will apply only to Acura, or people with Hondas as well?
So it is confirmed they will drop the extra 1k but the loyalty would only be for Acuras that are 2010 or newer. They finally are making the RDX less expensive than the MDX lol they've been pretty much the same as the RDX. good time to get a RDX though they havent been discounted this much since they came out.

Do you know if they have any dealer incentives coming out? This one doesn't help me as I don't have an Acura
Yeah unfortunately that's the only thing they have coming is for the loyalty rebate. Everything else is still the same.
These are the current offers where I live (Colorado). You're saying they are going to add a $1000 loyalty for Acura owners? They already have a $1500 and a $500 one (don't know if they can be combined, tho).
Current offers for Colorado

The loyalty rebate is $2000 total so tomorrow it'll be $3000. Im in NJ but I would think its the same over there. That's a nice decrease in monthly payments for a lease so definitely a good time to get in now.
For all of you that are not sure how to proceed with your purchase here are a few things to remember. You are on one side of the table facing two other entities on the other side. They are Acura US or the wholesalers and the dealership as the retailer. Most of these rebates that are mentioned are from Acura US. You still have the dealership margin of about 8-10%. So please do not just take the rebates and rush to make a deal. Start a lot lower and see what they accept. It’s easy to adjust to a slight increase but very difficult to go lower. You are in the drivers seat and negotiate from home where you are very comfortable.

Yup, looks like they combined the $1500 and $500 into one loyalty offer, and added the $1000, as you mentioned. Now it's $3000 showing as one offer. Too bad I don't own a 2010 Acura anymore.
So I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with leasehacker but I post up my Acura deals on the models up there and it pretty much takes away the whole hassle of negotiating because those really are the best deals you can get on a Acura. Heres a link to the ones I have up for this month and I will be making the change on the RDX reflecting the new 3k loyalty rebate.

Wish this was in Canada as well - picking up my RDX this PM.
what do you guys think of this deal for an RDX FWD w/ tech trim. I have no idea what an appearance package cost is? Plus, while I understand it is unrealistic, I was going to ask for an adjusted price of 35K with 0.9% APR for 60 months. According to car gurus, an excellent deal for this trim is around $35,500!
