Even though your research says $35,500 is an excellent price, you want the dealer to go $500 below that? I would say it's doubtful as you are asking them to take an additional $2k+ off the price of the car.

Since the MSRP is $47,425, this means the sale price must be $41,598 before your offers/incentives you just listed off (12.3% discount). I think the price is pretty good. If you like the car, go for it!

What city/state and dealership?
League City, TX. Autonation. They were great. Ask for Matt.

I think I finally got a quote I'm happy with. Here are the general details:

2020 SH-AWD with Advance pkg
MSRP: $48,925
Discount: $6,025
Sale Price: $42,900
Doc Fee: $500
Final Sale Price: $43,400

I want to test drive it again, so I'll probably stop by later to do so and make a final decision as to if it's the car for me.

Leased a 2020 RDX Advance AWD yesterday. Turned in my 2017 RDX lease. Received the $3,000 loyalty rebate. Net-net, it was $9,600 under MSRP.

If you lease, the MF is .00215. However, if you have the cash and can do the one payment lease....it drops to .00135 money factor.

Fantastic deal!

Nogard13: Could you please tell me where you got this price, and if it was a cash out the door price?
i would be pleased to get a price close to that, especially in MA.
Thank you.

I live in Maryland. You need to lease to get the full incentive, and own a 2010 or newer Acura to get the loyalty rebate towards cap cost reduction.

$3,125 lease incentive to dealer (they should pass to you)
$3,000 Acura loyalty
Then received about $1,000 under invoice price from the dealer
I paid all 36 payments up front, to save another $2,100 in interest...because the money factor is lower on the single pay lease.

Hey, I'm out west. I can PM you the dealership, if you want (don't want to post until I buy).

The price is before loyalty or conquest. I don't have an Acura, but if I did, you could subtract $3000 off that price. The discount only includes the $1500 for financing with Acura. I do qualify for $1000 conquest and $500 recent grad, so my price is actually $41,900 before taxes.

For a previous non-Acura owner, that is a great deal. My sales price before taxes was $39,325. But you must lease to get that extra $3125 incentive, but give back the $1500 financing incentive. So, net $1,625 to lease. I also don't qualify for the recent grad rebate by far, HA!

Hi Guys, I live in NW Chicago Suburbs (Cook County), and am planning on purchasing a new 2020 RDX A-Spec SH-AWD Black/Ebony hopefully by the end of this week. So I have been gathering quotes and the best one I believe I got is the following but would like someone's advice if this price is good/fair or not. As long as I get the car at a decent current market price, I will be content.

The following Accessories are included in the quote since I requested it to be included in their final OTD cost which includes "everything" (except interest)...TTL, destination, and all Dealer other Advertising & Doc Fees.
  • Splash guards
  • Cargo Net
  • Cargo Cover
  • Floor Mats
One Dealer quoted me two options:
  • Option 1: $49,320 if using Acura's 0.9% APR offer up to 72 months.
  • Option 2: $46,820 if I finance a minimum of $5000 with Acura at market rates(just under 4% for applicant's with credit scores over 700)”. This amount Includes $2,500 Cash back incentive for using Acura @ Market Rates. If I take this option, I plan putting $41,820.04 and only finance the remaining/minimum $5,000. My credit score shouldn't be an issue.
Please note that I do not quality for any other incentives or rebates except for the $2,500 cash back from option 2 above. I do not own an Acura from 2010 and past. Nor am I a first responder or healthcare worker, college grad, etc.

Thanks guys!

That seems high to me for an A-spec. I just picked up an AWD Advance trim from a Chicago dealer two weeks ago and it was $49,650 OTD with 0.9% financing. There's a $4900 list difference between the A-Spec and the Advance. The accessories are costing you some money too. I wouldn't get anything that doesn't have to be installed from the dealer. You can save 40% buying genuine Acura accessories online from someone like Bernardi Parts. I'd drop that down to the splash guards only from the dealer.

Forgot to ask...For that OTD price, did you receive any rebates and incentives?

I was not eligible for any Acura rebates or incentives. The price was only the dealer discount and I obtained that discount by using the Costco Auto Buying program. Another Chicago dealer was within $500 of this price though that wasn't the local Costco program dealer.

Understood...Thanks again. Would you be able to provide the dealer & salesmen for the two dealers you are referring to? I completely understand if you can't though.

Is this a deal I should take or wait?

Can you all let me know what you think? I am currently looking at a 2020 Rdx FWD avdvanced package. Right now I am at 45,000 out the door no trade in at .9 APR. tint and All weather matts are included.

is this a good deal?

2020 RDX A Spec or Tech Package question

Hi all, new member here. So far a lot of great info to take in. I do have some questions though and hopefully someone can answer?

My mom owned a 2017 Acura RDX she bought from the dealer 7 months ago. Last Friday, she was sitting at a red light and the F350 behind her that was going 50mph just didn't stop and rear ended her and totaled her car. Prior to this car she was in a little Lexus CT hatch so needless to say, she feels as if the RDX saved her life and she wants a new one. We'll be going to the dealer tomorrow.

Loyalty Incentive - Acura is currently offering $3000 rebate if you own a 2010 or later Acura RDX. Question is, will we qualify for this rebate since technically the car was totaled in an accident last Friday. We hope so, but it's not really clear, it says you have to "own the vehicle".....

Incentive/Rebates - If I read the info correctly on this thread, is it correct that you can either have the 0.9% financing OR rebates? Or can you get both? In terms of the rebates, can we stack them if we qualify for multiple? I.E. My mom is a first responder $750, owns a Lexas $1000 conquest, plus the loyalty incentive above. Or can we only qualify for just one?

We are looking at either the A Spec or Tech packages but want to make sure we get a good-fair deal. Any suggestions on what we figure we should start with? The ASPEC MSRP is $45K and the Tech MSRP is $42K. We are willing to put down $10K and the loan on the previous RDX was $500 so we want to stay around there.

Any insight would be so helpful. Thanks in advance!

Not sure where you are from but I just picked up a new 2020 Aspec SH AWD Black/Ebony for $43,363 OTD (MSRP $47.045) with no additional accessories or addons. This cost literally included everything except the interest. I didn't qualify for any of the incentives or rebates so I took the cash back for financing with Acura at their market rate at 3.55% instead of the 0.9%APR they also offered without the cash back. I plan on paying it off in 2 years so they will not be collecting that much interest from me. Also, this same dealer quoted me a little less than 2k if I wanted the Advanced Trim but I decided on the Aspec after test driving both. I couldn't resist the looks of the Aspec model. Good Luck.

Regarding the rebates...I believe you can stack them since most of the quotes that I received from dealers before I purchased my car recently provided their quotes that way.

2020 RDX A Spec First Price - Fair opening Offer?

Just emailed local dealer (Riverside County, CA) and asked for what type of discounts they offered on a ASPEC package and they sent the following:

For the A-Spec (MSRP $45,025) I can do $41600 plus fees and offer you .9% APR !

Went to True Car and there have been 15 cars sold in my area ranging in the $39,800 to $42,500 / good-fair price range. It looks as though the discount quoted is right in the middle of the range. Should I take this to mean he offered a fair discount?

Not sure but just an FYI...when I did the same thing thru TrueCar prior to my purchase, it said 13 vehicles were sold in my area between $42k/$43k which were listed as good/fair price. That was for ASpec SH-AWD Trim before TTL & all fees. Quotes sent by TrueCar with TrueCar certificates were all about the same in the range of $43,205 - $43,695 (pre TTL).

I just provided a copy of the registration on my 2017 RDX and that was all that was needed to get the $3,000 loyalty rebate. I believe if you take the 0.9%, the dealer loses some backend incentive money. So, you may able to get a better sales price without the 0.9%. offer

2020 RDX Base black for $32,000

2020 RDX Base AWD black for $32,000. Got $3000 loyalty and $2500 for financing. MSRP was $41,225. Thought it was a good deal. Maybe could have done a little better but it was after closing on month end Saturday. Very happy with the deal.

Acura upped the $1500 credit for financing to $2500 for June?

Our finance guy mentioned 2500. Said there were a couple options but we wanted the biggest rebate since we'll just pay it off as soon as the contractual obligation is over.

geekybiker would you please describe your $39,500 purchase with a list off all the incentives you received? I’m hoping to obtain the same deal either from your Acura dealer, if you provide me their name or use your deal’s details to shop other Acura dealers, since the dealers I’ve contacted so far don’t believe your deal at $39,500 + TTL. Thanks - Ed Porter

Holy c*, some of the recent prices are insane. I also saw one local Acura dealership offering $3k loyalty rebate. Tough times...

Thankfully I'm largely immune to pricing look-back. If I'm happy with my deal -- and the purchase is proof that I was -- any future deals are for someone else to judge.

Hi, newbie to the forum. Pulled the trigger on a white 2020 RDX Fwd A-spec yesterday in Richmond, Virginia for $36,718 before TTL and $579 dealer doc fees. In addition to the factory options, the dealer installed accessories include all-weather mats, cargo tray, wheel locks and mud guards. This deal is inclusive of the $1000 conquest rebate and I have to finance at the standard AFS rate at 2.94%. The worksheet was showing 3.3% but it went down after further negotiation. No trade was involved. I can choose to get the 0.9% special financing but the price would be $2500 higher. Overall, I am pretty happy with the deal.

Ast333, that looks like a great price. Were the accessories included in the $36,618 price? Did you only qualify for the $1000 conquest rebate and $2500 finance incentive?

Looking for the best price on 2020 RDX Advance SHAWD

I’m in MA and trying to decide if I should wait a little longer to get a better price, maybe when and if the 2021s arrive soon?
My local dealership had several cars in his lot that I would like and all were made at least 120 days ago and sitting in the lot and in the weather since then.
The best price I’ve got is $3000 off of the Invoice of $46,482, plus sales tax ($2718), plus $100 plate xfer fee, plus $595 doc fee.
I have two (2)questions please:
- Has anyone got a better price for a car on the lot on a 2020 RDX Advance SHAWD model?
- Will I get a better price if I wait another month or two, if the 2021s begin to show up by then?
Thank you!

Is the $3000 discount that you mention inclusive of any Acura incentives or is that all dealer discount? A $3000 discount is in the neighborhood of what you'll get using the Costco Auto program PLUS Acura incentives are on top of that if you qualify for them. If all $3,000 of this discount is Acura incentives then I'd say no, you're not getting a good deal. If there's no Acura incentives in that price then I would say yes, you're getting a good deal. I got $3,700 off on an Advance AWD in May and did not qualify for any Acura incentives.

As to whether you will get a better deal when the 2021 model comes out, I think that the only honest answer to that is who knows. I think it will depend entirely on how much inventory still remains in the system when the new models come out. That's going to depend highly on the recovery of the economy from covid-19. I don't think anybody can predict that, but from what I've read, it feels to me like the general feeling in the marketplace is that the bottom of the car market wasn't as bad as some feared and that it is improving every month.

If I were in your shoes and I found the exact car that I wanted and I felt like I was being treated fairly, I wouldn't worry about whether it was the best deal ever or not. I'd move on it. After all, if you wait, you're just missing out on driving an awesome car for a few more months.

I leased a 2020 AWD Advance in May. March build date. $9600 under MSRP was the sales price. All incentives included, including $3K loyalty and $3125 lease incentive to dealer passed to me.

I got my 2020 Advance for $42,528 back in Oct 2019, also in MA, but I don't know how that translates to todays pricing. That also included the $1,500 discount for financing thru Acura.
