Car turned off while slowing down on freeway

This is incredibly dangerous and the 3rd time it's happened overall.
First time was a few months ago, second time was 2 weeks ago, 3rd time was this morning (January 24th, 2020) at 730AM PST.

What's funny is that I took it to the Acura dealer yesterday to try and remedy this problem. They tried to reproduce the problem and of course couldn't only to have the problem come up again a day after I picked up the car from the dealer.
It's a 2019 RDX base with 22.5k miles on it. There's a number of issues that I'm sure you have all experienced already but I classify this one in a league of it's own since it's incredibly dangerous to have a completely shut off car in the middle of traffic.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Is this a known issue or is there a fix that someone knows about?

I have dash cam footage that I can probably upload somewhere. It'll show obviously the front of the car but you can probably hear my surprise and the sudden disappearance of all electronics / sound while in traffic.

Did the dealer hook up the diagnostic tool to see if there is any error code?
How about try mounting the dash cam where it can view the dashboard or take a video with your phone when this happens.
What you have described could be the so call "limp mode" and there is already a thread talking about it.

That doesn't sound like limp mode since you lost all power and electronics. Were you able to restart the car immediately?

Yes, after engine + electronics were shut off I was able to turn the car (and electronics) back on again.
I don't think this is limp mode, I've seen/felt that before and while it was annoying, it certainly wasn't the same as the entire car (again engine + electronics) being off.

I googled your problem and I found some old posts from various makes of cars. I don't think it is a RDX specific problem. It appears it is either a fuel or power issue. A couple of people said it was their alternator while others blamed the battery or the fuel pump.

Why not all three amiright?
I appreciate you taking the time to look, I've come across similar results as well.
I'll keep my dash somewhat in focus of my dash cam (mount in rear seats or something) and the next time it occurs Ill upload to Youtube.
Perhaps we can get a recall going or something

It's funny that when it is out of warranty, they will replace many parts until they have fixed the problem or you have run out of money. When it is under warranty, they will need to reproduce the problem before they replace anything.

Car turned off

While this may or may not help I would be looking at an electrical issue and maybe the battery. I had a TL which had about 25k and 2 years on it Came out of work for lunch and car would not start. Gages and lights did all sort of weird things. Jump started car and pulled out of parkinging space but could not turn wheels. Car was running so called dealer and of course they did not listen as first response was "Can you drive the car here?". I turned off and could not restart so I had it jumped again. Came back and parked. Thought I had discharged battery. When I came out the car again would not start so I jumped it again. Went to dentist and when came out car would not start. Wife was going by so had her stop and now could not even jump start the car. Called Acura and they towed vehicle to dealer next day. What did they find .... the battery needed to be replaced. B arteries are not what they used to be.
