Weird problem...
I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 70K miles. It looks good and runs pretty good. Recently, it's been stalling for no apparent reason. The temp gauge would red-line and the jeep would stall. I'd wait a minute or two and it would start right up again. This happened two or three times before I took it into the dealer. They put it on the computer and didn't find anything that would case a problem like that. Well it had to be something since it stalls intermittently. They put in back on the computer and "found" something wrong which they "fixed". So I drive the jeep home - its not to far from the dealer - no problems. I think I'm good! Wrong!! Next day it does the same thing. I call the dealer. They give me the usual b*llsh!t but offer to check it out again...for a charge! Are you kidding me? If you didn't fix it the first time, what makes you think I'll bring it back, pay you more money, and have the same problem...
I decided to hit the internet and see what I could find. I found a thread at cnet where a person with a earlier year Jeep was having the same issue. Basically, it was the screws on the PCM causing the vehicle to stall. I'm not sure if it's a short or what. I followed his instructions - modified for my Jeep as the design is a little different; added a couple lock-washer. I've been driving it all day with no problem. All-in-all it cost about $20 dollars (I didn't have a Torx driver) to fix and about 90 minutes of my time compared to what the dealer charged.
Hopefully, this fix will stick and I'll have some info to pass onto the Jeep dealer.

If this is the problem, congrats on repairing it yourself.
