Advanced
nice they split up the patch notes for each version number (last version had them all rolled up every time), minor change but it seems like they're listening

I applied the update and tested Android auto a bit and it seems to work well. One comment the touchpad acts like a normal touchpad and NOT the truetouch method that we thought was delaying everything for so long....
While I am really happy it is here I wonder what was the delay if that wasn't something they are using...

The hold up was Google releasing the summer update that supports additional hardware like widescreens and different input methods. Regardless of how it functions, the hardware of the touchpad is apparently something that wasn't compatible before and had to be supported in Android Auto OS for Acura to implement it at all.
i been saying this for so long, and its obvious why this update took this long.... im just glad it's here...no more "im pissed no AA yet" threads. now the threads about the bugs will come lol...jk...

Well I'll be damned...
I said it wouldn't be out this winter, and I was wrong. I'll gladly eat crow on this.

Thanks, I'll try that. I had updated the app on my phone - just in case I had an older version - but was plugged into the other USB (not the one in the console). I'll check out the link for setup.

I wonder why some of the updates listed for 1.2.1 are in bold? Well congrats to AA users. It's a long list of updates but I wonder how many of the issues that are posted here are really resolved? That TrueTouch is still not in Apple and apparently AA seems unacceptable as was how long it took to get this update out from the last one, which was virtually not even an update (a clock fix). These days, you have to excel at software, on top of hardware and electronics, and I'm not sure that is going to be a cornerstone of Acura. But again....congrats to AA users.

Okay. That worked. I had to restart my phone a couple of times. The AA on the Acura gave me a couple of "cannot connect at this time" messages, so be patient, and maybe restart your phone a time or two.
