MID default display

Is it possible to set the default display on MID? Say, I want to show SH-AWD screen everytime I start up the car. My RDX always shows trip computer screen at start up.

I searched and it seems the MID should display last active screen, I am not sure that is referencing to RDX though.

Someone here found out that when you save your seat settings, it also saves your MID setting. I think.

Interesting. I must have the trip computer screen on when I saved my seat position then. I will certainly try to re-save seat and see what happens

Sorry for the bad info, I had read that here someplace, but had not tried.

I tried it. When I sat in the car and saved the seat setting while on the SH-AWD screen I turned the car off. I immediately turned the car back on and the screen was saved. I was happy so I got out of the car. Then when I got back in the car maybe a few hours later and started it back up, it defaulted back to the trip computer.

I tried this already and it will always eventually default to the trip screen. It doesn't bother me at all

This is another thing that drives me crazy. The chosen view for the mid display will only save the setting if the car is idle for a short period, otherwise it defaults to that cluttered trip odometer display that I am SO tired of looking at. The 2018 TLX loaner I am driving while my new RDX Advance is in the repair shop maintains the last mid display setting indefinitely. Hopefully a software fix will be coming to correct this behavior on the RDX.

Once the car falls asleep, all bets are off. It wakes up screaming and crying and wanting its mother.

Ya gotta baby it, and deal with the little idiosyncrasies, otherwise it will leave when it is old enough and brake your heart.

5 clicks of the of the wheel down with my right hand while Im buckling in, turning off the idle stop, disengaging the parking brake, plugging in my phone and adjusting the armrest.

The RDX "pre-flight" as I call it.
