Help changing default start up compass display Non-Nav

Is there a way to change the default start up screen from the compass to the radio display? I have very little use at looking at the compass most of the time and would prefer the screen to go back to what I had up when I turned the car off.

Also, as far as the display (welcome) above the odometer. Is it normal for it to be blank after each start up? I would like to not have to go through the motions of hitting a bunch of buttons every time I get back in the car to get the displays up I want to see. Don't want to sound like a PIA..Ill deal with it but just checking to see if there is a way to change it in settings.
Thanks!

Does it just say "Welcome" or does it say "Welcome Driver 1/2"? If the prior, you need to resync your fobs following the instructions on the back of the fob. The car doesn't know who to apply settings to because it doesn't know who's driving, so it just defaults. That should definitely fix the MID option, not sure about the compass.

I don't remember mine doing that. Maybe try to un-sync and re-sync. Have you gone through the MID menu personal settings?

My MID always starts off blank. My keys are properly sync'ed with the car. Once you tap either the up or down trip buttons, the MID will display whatever was last shown. I do wish it would simply just show it automatically.

I'm probably just not remembering. It's been 2 years and 7 months. 5 more months until the insurance penalty goes away!
