Modifying car seats

Looking for better seats. Im not the biggest guy so im moving a lot in the seat especially when cornering at a mid to high speed. I dont want to change the seat to loose the side airbag, for safety reasons. So im thinking about reshaping the seats.

AutoSpeed - Reshaping Factory Seats anyone ever done something like that?

Dont know if the leather will fit back on , cause reupholstery would probably cost 1-2000$ easily.

The leather will not fit back on if you reshape your seats. We're talking about leather that's made to fit like a glove. Fabric wouldn't be such an issue.

What year/model TL do you have? The Type S seat is better bolstered than the base model.

best is to go to a shop near you and have them take off the leather cover and refoam the whole seat. Over time the foam gets cut into the springs and crushes. New foam will make it brand new and hold you a lot better. The shop can also add additional foam to help bolster it more.

They can simply undo the seams at the side bolsters and add 1/2"-1" strip of matching leather to allow for more padding and for the cover to sit back on. It's not going to be 2K. More like $500-600.
