Climate Control Display

Anyone know what would be involved in having my climate control display show up on the factory monitor (like it does on non NAV models)?

I have a 12 TL with Tech package and am going to replace the factory head unit and install the Alpine unit with navigation. Maestro makes a harness that will allow me to keep the steering wheel controls but the climate controls will not show up on either the Alpine display or the factory monitor.

Any ideas?

Thanks all!!

Use your phone to navigate, not worth it to lose climate control function display IMO...

The point isn't the navigation, the reason for switching to an aftermarket head unit is for the quality and control of sound that comes with an Alpine head unit.

If you'll excuse the off-thread question, what is the model number of the Alpine unit and what features does it have over the stock Tech system?

W957HD Unit. The factory unit sucks very bad at adjust-ability of frequency ranges...as in no equalizer. The Alpine unit is also 90% better than factory as far as distortion and clarity. Again...only stereo addicts will understand just how lousy factory units are (not just Acura)

Graphic equalizer. I agree. I have had that in all my previous cars with "aftermarket" installs. Will this Alpine connect to the factory Amp? Or are you replacing that too along with speakers. I am looking at upgrading too. I know I'm not helping you with your original posted question. I was wondering if I could do without the temp display and just adjust by feel. But the not having the mode (defrost, floor, vent) indication would be inconvenient.

I have already replaced all the speakers and amplifiers with real equipment.

Everything is Memphis audio with the exception of my Alpine 1000W sub amp
