Default to Audio Display?

I've got a new '05 TL w/nav and for the vast majority of my driving I'm finding that I have the audio display on the nav screen vs. a map. Is there a way to have the audio screen display by default after I start the car, or after the nag screen, without having to press the audio button each time? If not, is there a voice command like "display audio" that I'm missing?

I agree ......................

Mine too either defaults to the Navi-jibberish screen where I have to recognize the "OK" button or I am assuming if that is not done it goes to a blank screen.

The audio channels still work with no display. Any help on how to get the audio screen as my default would be a big help. I can always pick the map button, but come on we all utilize the audio screen 95% of the time .............

I believe you can use the voice command "display audio" There is no way to make it default to the audio screen though.

I believe in the navi manual that came with the car - there is a list of voice commands. Check in there. I thought there was something, perhaps I am just mistaken.

You can say "help" and the system will show a list with all voice commands

Thanks for the suggestions but I don't see any voice commands or menu settings that allow the audio to display on the nav screen without hitting the audio button. It seems odd to me that Acura would force you to press the audio button every time you start the car. Then again I searched through the forums and didn't see any other posts on this so it must not bother most of you other TL owners.

If you don't want to look at the map screen at all, when you start the car wait for the disclaimer "ok" button to come up. Instead of pushing the "ok" button, just press the audio button and it will take you directly to the audio screen without looking at the map at all. When you want the map after starting the car and going to the audio screen, press the audio or map button and it will take you to the disclaimer screen where you can there after go to the map screen.

this should answer your question.

For such an advanced navigation system to NOT allow default to the screen of ones choosing is such a stupid waste !

I was unable to find a method of setting the default screen to audio.

I hope Acura folks review this website and can take the suggestion to allow people to set the default screen to their choosing.

Saying "display audio" does not work on my TL either, but I wish it did.
