2007 resets clock, nav display settings to default

I have read and searched here but not found any clear answers. I figure this may have been addressed previously, but maybe my google-fu isn't strong enough today. Each time I turn off the car my clock time resets to the wrong hour and the nav won't hold my settings for screen brightness, heading up, etc. I can't locate an answer here or in the owners manual. Am I missing something?

Does the MID say "Welcome Driver 1/2" when you get in the car? If not, re-sync your fob per the instructions on the back. That would explain the Nav issue.

As for the clock, there was a daylight savings firmware update that fixed the algorithm used to determine DST, but I don't think that's what's going on here (too late in the year). Are you close to a time zone border? Can you select your timezone in the settings?

oo7spy is correct! You need to hold the lock and unlock buttons on the remote so it links with the memory 1 or memory 2. It says on the back of the key which fob is which. Once you do that you will need to change all the settings. I mean all the settings! One thing that is really nice about the RL is all settings stay with the memory. So radio stations, color of the map, home address, seat position, door lock options, lighting, etc all can be custom programmed for each memory position. Pretty cool actually! Just remember to save the seat memory on the drivers door to the correct fob.

On the back of the fob...well now I feel like an idiot, lol. I think I have it set now, we'll see for sure when we hit the road today. The clock issue was that it was defaulting to daylight time off. Thank you for the info.

There is a setting for the clock as well. Once you have the key fob linked all settings you change will stay to that fob. Just look at the mid display for which driver it says welcome to.
