I just bought a 2021 RDX Aspec that didn't have an owners manual. (got one on order). The inside rear view mirror is so dark I can hardly see anything in daylight. I've tried all the buttons on the mirror but can't get them to do anything. Surely it is not supposed to be dark all the time.
Can you tell how it is supposed to work?
You can download a copy of the manual from 2021 RDX manual. Before you ask, all variations use the same manual. I keep one on my iPad as I find it easy to search as opposed to the hard copy. I didn’t look closely but the rearview mirror is discussed on page 207.

If you cancel your order (not sure how much that costs) but I have a spare 2021 Aspec manual I can mail you for the cost of postage.
It sounds like the light sensor is not functioning correctly. The mirror is only supposed to get dark at night when someone has bright lights on behind you, if it is getting dark during the daytime that would mean your mirror is not functioning correctly.
Btw congrats on the new RDX, what color combo did you get? Time to update your signature!
Thanks everyone. Turns out the problem is the back window is so heavily tinted I can hardly notice when someone is behind me. When I turned around and looked directly out the back window in the daylight I realized it looked just as dark as through the mirror. The 2 back door windows are also pretty heavily tinted. I don't know if it's factory tint or if a previous owner did it. The mirror works fine I guess, it turns on & off with the switch but will never have to activate due to the tint.
The 2021 I purchased is a white Aspec with the red & black interior.
All 4 of my previous Acuras have been black. I love the look, but it just gets too damn hot around here in the summers. Apparently others are feeling the same because white ones were the fewest for sale.
Question.. is the exhaust supposed to be so loud and sporty sounding? I've had 3 people so far ask if it has a V-8 in it.
Even though they all have the same engine and drivetrain it them, is it louder because it is an Aspec model?'
Took a quick look under the back end and didn't see any obvious signs of aftermarket work.
As Twism86 mentioned, in some models the exhaust sounds are amplified but I think that only occurs in Sport and Sport plus (if the A=Spec had it)
I posted a link to the manual earlier, you really need to do the download!
Thanks everyone. The manual arrived 2 days ago- brand new & sealed 661 pages for $40. I don't know what to say about the exhaust sound. The people who have commented on it were outside the vehicle or heard me pull up. You can stand outside behind it at idle and its very noticeable, and inside the cabin, window/sunroof open or closed very noticeable. But, I'm not going to worry about, I'm just gonna enjoy it because it sounds and runs GREAT. Loving the vehicle so far. Took a bit to get the hang of the touch pad deal, especially without an owners manual the first few days.
Tires on it are Goodyear Eagle RS-A, I don't know if those are are OEMs that came on it, the vehicle has about 59,000 miles on it and I've never gotten that many miles out of any Goodyear tire. Looks like probably gonna need to replace the tires before the bad part of winter gets here.
Great to have you guys around to answer newbie to this vehicle questions

If people are commenting from the outside, then undoubtedly whoever owned it before you modified the exhausts. Based on the rear and rear side window tints it sounds like whoever owned it was into modding their vehicle a bit.
