I changed my engine air filter for the first time today, and one of the push pins holding the air box had its head snapped off. I wrestled with the remainder of the clip with an "auto clip fastener remover pry tool", which didn't work that well so I drilled out the center and the clip fell out.

I noticed that I have these marks where I was prying - I

assume this is paint that chipped off while I was prying the clip. If not, is it something functional or something needing a fix?
