Brake Squeak
I know this has been discussed a ton of times before, but I can't seem to find an answer. Has anyone figured out a solution for the cold-temperature brake squeal? I bought my 2022 A-spec at 18k, and now at 22k, it has started. I know it goes away once the brakes warm up, but really? Acura says that they don't have an answer, and it's caused by the environmentally friendly pad composition. This is just unacceptable for a $50,000+ car. It's driving me nuts enough to consider trading it in for an MDX, but they seem to have the same problem. Ceramic pads and new rotors, maybe? Thanks in advance!

My 21' Aspc has 22k mile on it, after washing and cleaning the wheels/rims - the brakes moan for about 3-4 miles till they dry out and get heat into the pads. Not a big deal to me - just know what to expect and once it's over - they are very quiet.

The only solution is to go with aftermarket pads/rotors. I can't believe there's not a class action by now - would be nice to get a little money to offset the cost of ditching the OEM ones.

Sorry, I meant once the new pads were installed, the runout feeling was gone. I believe that the feeling was from high and low spots and hard and soft spots in the brake pad material.

Otherwise, EBC has a pad and rotor kit - reasonable and used them on another vehicle and worked great.
