2019/RDX Apple Carplay is intermittent
Carplay connectivity is intermittent in my 2019 RDX. Sometimes carplay just drops after working for 10-20 min, other times it does not work at all despite the phone being connected. I ruled out USB cables (tried 4 so far several "official" apple cables) and phones (happens on multiple phones, iPhone 14, 15, 16, 16 Pro). I did not find any TSB relating this. The dealership is telling me nothing is wrong (no code) so they cannot help me. Any info from the community is appreciated.
Apologies if you've already ruled this out, but does it drop when driving in certain locations? Strong RF/Wifi signals in the environment will cause loss of connectivity. A building along my commute that I knew was using (for legitimate reasons) a strong wireless transmitter would reliably cause my Android Auto to drop. When the building was repurposed and the transmitter was turned off the problem went away.
I found that one (tsb-21-009 and tsb-23-025) but it does not mention carplay:
The dealership argued with me that it does not apply.
