I remember someone mentioning this problem in a previous post but cannot find it...

My iPod has been working fantastic until just a few days ago. Now the connection is so sensitive...it will often say "No Data" on my nav screen and then load a few minutes later. I also can't go near the center consul area where the iPod is...if anything touches the damn wire the connection gets lost! Is anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

 

That was me that posted that problem. There's no solution I can think of other than to take it to the dealer to swap out the cable. It only happens if you try to pick up the iPod. Other than that, it's fine even over the bumpiest of roads. So just don't touch it. Just leave it at the bottom of the console. You can pile things on top of it with no problem. Just don't touch the iPod and make sure you lock the iPod's controls.
