Potential EPS failure
Looking for some insight into some problems I’m having with my ‘09.
I have an intermittent bug where if it’s below -20 C, I’ll start it and the EPS light will be on and there will be no power steering. I’ll let the car warm up to near operating temp, restart the car, and there will be power steering as usual. In the two years I’ve owned it (and 100+ days below -20), it’s done this maybe 5 times. The car is no longer eligible for the warranty as I inquired earlier this winter.
Something new today though: when I left my house this morning, it felt super notchy; think like rotating the volume knob. I couldn’t make any smooth turns and it was honestly pretty dangerous, but no EPS light ever came on. I shut the car off and restarted it and the steering was fine. Is this a rack or module issue? Maybe something else?

2015 3.5L AWD, with 110K, had the car for about 2yrs, and all of the sudden out of no where EPS problem and steering light comes on and steering wheel does not turn..lots of similar post and youtube but very few for the V6
Had a mechanic check it out and says need a new Rack & Pinion....Really disappointed this happened and frankly do not expect this from acura. Dealer says $2050 for new Rack and Pinion without tie rods and bellows. I have checked online and see many for the 2.4L but not many for the 3.5L AWD,.. Eventually found one for about $700. Is there a EPS motor or pump that could be he culprit ?,, Is there something else that I should be checking. How can a whole RP randomly seize

I haven’t looked yet (got cold again), but I think it may be related to an issue I had last year. The passenger side fuse panel that sits just below the EPS module burned and I had to replace it. I’m wondering if that somehow damaged the wiring. I’ll have to remove and inspect still obviously.
I’m fairly confident that the module is functional; it’s either the connector or the wiring.

Does the V6 have a electric power steering module
Does the V6 have a electric power control module and is it also located on the passenger side ) under glove box and behind the kicker panel OR is it located on the steering column.
Buying and replacing the RP is my last resort.
To me, since it was sudden occurrence, either the signal is not going to the electric motor anymore which leads me to think software in the eps module, or the signal is going but the electric motor is seized due to traveling too far.
I dont think it likes Lock to Lock turning..
I would imagine Acura to test their components to operate under cold-hot temps.

Continuing my EPS Issue Post
Very Strange. All of a sudden errors gone and car is driving normal. Car was sitting in driveway past 3 weeks while I was shopping and waiting for a Rack
I tested the car out over past 2 weeks by doing some hard "S" curves and its fine.
Not sure what changed,, only thing it has warmed up here
Recently I sprayed some clearer over the harness connector but this is after
