Could be anything from dirty O2 sensor to clogged cat, kinda hard to say. If you are still under warranty then take it to the dealer. Diagnose/repair is free if you are still under warranty.

I am under warranty, the car only has 9,000 miles on it. Gonna call the dealership in the am to see when service can get me in, hope their hours arent too off due to the holiday. Hoping some peeps on here might have some insight :-)

easiest one, check to see if your gas cap is tight.
it happens to the best of us sometimes.

The boyfriend can pull the codes, just have to wait for him to get home from work. I haven't gotten gas in like 2 weeks (I work 2 miles from home), would it take that long to come on? And if the gas cap was loose, wouldnt the car just tell me that? I got the "tighten fuel cap" once, when the boyfriend didn't tighten the cap enough.

texting with the bf, he is betting it is the O2 sensor, said he will plug in the code reader when he gets home. I hate not knowing.

Car is in the shop. Apparently the code was concerning the fuel evaporation system, and they found a 2 way valve that was failing. They ordered the part, hope to get the car back today. In the meantime driving a 2010 TSX w/ nav. Its an automatic, so I miss my car (mines a stick), but I do like the rear view camera (I don't have nav).

Got my car back today. It was the Canister vent shut valve. According to the paperwork, they also ordered a cover spring to prevent spiders (eww) from getting in there. The girl at the dealership said that people have had problems with spiders getting in there and messing things up. Gross, I hate spiders.
