Chrome on my grill

So a while ago i plasti diped my grill. Yesterday i decided to peel it off. Well before peeling the whole thing off i noticed my chrome on the grill started to come off. What should i do, for now i re plasti-dipped it. But do you think if i peel off all the plasti dipp and take it to the dealer they would fix it under warrenty.

How long did you have the plasti dip on for? That scary, I just plasti dipped mine. No one ever mention this problem before. Do you know what caused it?

I have a small dime sized spot like that most likely from a rock too. Can i get it fixed under warranty? Oh wait i'm out of warranty and once that happens i'm god forsaken.

Yea I have that question as well. I have a small little chip as well on the outer grille...I remember seeing a TSB for the beak portion of the grille..don't know if the outer portion is covered.

I plasti-dipped it mid summer so its not like its been very long. I dont think its the plasti dip causing the chrome to peel off because its only on like the upper part of the grill and not the whole thing. Also on the opposite side of the grill i have the same bubbling issue, thats seen on the upper left part of the grill in the photos.

Wash, wax, wash, then Plastidip. If you don't there's no release film to keep it from totally adhering to the chrome paint. Too much wax and it'll bubble, too little or none will strip pull the surface layer when you peel the Plastidip.

If yours were to chip...or not... you'd just chop something else up to replace it.
