2012 TSX won't start

Hi,

Been reading a bunch of other forums and i thought I'd join this site since it seems like there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here and hopefully I can get some answers and learn more on my tsx

So,my car won't start at all. It's a 2012 tsx tech package and it seems like the immobilizer killed my car. Nothing turns on when I turn the key to ll and lll position. No lights turn on and none of my keys locks or unlocks the doors. The blue immobilizer light doesn't flash or turn on. Tried the valet key as well. The red light still blinks on the controller but thats all.

I read in the manual that if the key isn't opened all the way it can trigger the immobilizer to shut the car off but i dont know if thats the case.I was in a rush and i may have accidentally pushed the button that pops the key out and it bent a little while i was turning the ignition on. This car is brand new (got it end of July) and no mods have been done nor have I added anything to cause it to drain the battery or blow a fuse. Any ideas? Bad battery?

btw this is the second time its happened in that last 3 days. The first time I thought it was a dead battery but I realized I unlocked my door with the alarm pad and it worked. After closing my door and alarming it, I tried to start it and it started but it re-set my navi system. Never had this problem before. It's so weird

I'm getting it towed to the Acura dealership today

I know you said it might not be the battery, but please check it!!
check the battery cables.
Make sure they are not loose and or corroded.

Since,Acura is coming to pick it up...it could very well be the battery.
hope you get it back better than ever!!

Thank you for the response

The tow truck guy came and checked out my car and found the problem...the cable to my battery was waaay loose and it wasn't tightened all the way so that's what caused my car to pretty much be dead. I did check my battery earlier but didn't wiggle the cable...kinda just looked at it haha!Don't know how it got loose. Anyways saved myself a trip to the dealership and all is well!

Nope. No work done at all as of yet. Just got it end of July. I didn't have any problems with it til the past few days. I'm glad it was a minor fix and nothing major. I always thought the dealership does a final check of everything to make sure it's good to go before they transfer it to the new owner :/. Oh well, just glad my car is up and running again

Maybe not in the newer TSX's
but, on the 3rd gen TL, the Hands Free Link does go bad and causes a parasitic draw on the battery.
