Not sure I follow.
I installed my TEIN coilovers myself, with the help of saucy's step-by-step guide. When someone typically does a detailed write-up like this one, we call it a "DIY", so that one can "Do It Yourself". Here's the guide I followed (pics are dead, but I re-uploaded some of them since I saved them a couple years back): https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-...ll-diy-810393/

Hit up the exhaust shop the other day and had to take the obligatory wheel/BBK pic, featuring one of their current side project's:
They're trying to decide whether to put a 5.7 Hemi in there, a 2JZ, or just boost the existing engine.
Anyways, as you guys may know from my post in the GReddy Supreme SP thread (https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-.../#post15791685), I was having a minor fitment issue (driver side muffler being a bit lower) because it was rubbing/pushing against my Progress RSB.
![xtcnrice's bwp cu2-cv6hvqe.jpg](https://acurazine.com/forums/attachments/2g-tsx-photograph-gallery-144/120366d1683211439t-xtcnrices-bwp-cu2-cv6hvqe.jpg)
Yeah I know, my camber arms are rusted to hell from dailying this 365 days a year, which includes Canadian winters. As you can sort of see, the flange is rubbing against this rubber piece that my exhaust guy put in (to prevent metal-to-metal contact). This was causing two issues: 1) the aforementioned fitment issue of the driver side muffler hanging lower, and 2) increased cabin noise because of the exhaust vibrations travelling through the RSB and ultimately onto the chassis.
Unfortunately, I was too upset/embarrassed to take a picture of the misaligned exhaust, so I don't have any pictures of how each muffler looks relative to each other.
Our solution was to extend the exhaust outwards about an inch.

Here's a comparison of how much is extended:
Before:

After:
![xtcnrice's bwp cu2-z9jefk7.jpg](https://acurazine.com/forums/attachments/2g-tsx-photograph-gallery-144/120369d1683211439t-xtcnrices-bwp-cu2-z9jefk7.jpg)
My apologies the pictures aren't exactly apples-to-apples. I'll have more pics up soon after I finally get a chance to wash her.
As for sound, cabin noise has been reduced! It's no longer obnoxious and I'm no longer embarrassed to accelerate around 3k+ RPM lol. I also don't have an after pic for this, but the flange is definitely not touching the RSB anymore.

I honestly think you took the best approach. The welding on that exhaust also looks top notch ![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Hard to tell just from that one picture but I don't think the slightly increased tip exposure (lol) will look bad, or out of place. You may have to work a little harder now to keep them clean though haha

Oh damn, I didn't even think about the modulo bumper. I'm surprised he doesn't have one on his car.

They look awesome. I have always wanted these and the spirior tails. Can't bring myself to pull the trigger. How much they run you if you don't mind me asking? Get them from rachet?
did you get the bi-xenon harness as well?

The lights were about $600 USD. Got them from a private seller, just because I've dealt with him before and I trust him. I didn't want to have to deal with filing shipping claims with overseas companies had it arrived cracked; I know this seller would've made things right if they did. Lings Honda (from the UK I believe) was a very close second for me, but since I don't have too much luck with overseas shipping, I decided not to go with them this time around. But I've heard great things about Lings so you can't go wrong. Ratchet Racing might also be able to hook you up if you decide to get both the harness and the lights from him. You'll just have to ask them
![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Harness is from no other than Kevin from Ratchet Racing. Quality product; this isn't some harness like the ones that come with Chinese aftermarket HID kits. Each of his harnesses are personally QA'd, and if there are any issues (even dumb questions related to install, like I had) he will be there to support you. I highly recommend them. Of course you can always goto a local shop (maybe an audio shop or something) and get your own harness built there. But what's key here is that the harnesses from Ratchet Racing are all plug and play; easily reversible if I decide to sell the car for whatever reason. I got the Ratchet Plus harness. Couldn't justify the added cost of the functional active cornering lights. But yes my bixenons do work, so I do have a high beam

hahah, I agree! ![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Man I was so jealous of everyone else when I didn't have them either. Well, now I'm like $700 USD poorer, which translates to like ~$2000 CAD![Roll Eyes](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Good point! Some text... the driver side aim was bang on, but the passenger side aim is a bit higher than previously. I'm going to adjust it today and see if I can correct the aim
. As for output, I think it's very good. Maybe because my USDM headlights were just barely starting to haze/pit just a tad, but these brand new JDM/EDM bixenons look spectacular on the road and against the wall. Cut off is also very sharp, just like before.
Bixenon high beam is still bright. I tried it out on a road with minimal street lighting, and the signs very far away which I'm familiar with on my old high beams, are still very much visible with the HID high beams. Definitely looks a lot "cooler" (temp wise) than the USDM halogen high beams, but still fairly effective IMO. Maybe not as effective when used to get the attention of oncoming traffic since it's not as obvious when looking directly at the lights. But from a driver's perspective from a light output standpoint, they still function sufficiently, IMO.

Whst kind of bulbs and ballasts did you use? OEM?
#504
VTEC just kicked in, yo!

OEM. Direct swap of the ballast/ignitor/D2S bulb from the USDM headlight. The JDM/EDM lights when purchased from Honda, do not come with ballast/ignitor/D2S bulb, as well as the plastic piece under the headlight which the bumper clips onto. Those items had to be swapped.
I never swapped headlight parts before, so I was definitely a bit worried doing it myself. But it was a lot easier than I expected

Curious to see cutoff pics and how they compare to the original sharp crisp TSX's and the 3G TL's
