xtcnrice's bwp cu2
Hey all, in last December 2013 I decided to get myself a Bellanova White Pearl with the Tech package. It's now June and I finally decided to start a build thread!
Current mods:
I had a few complications along the way... the shop that did the redrilling screwed up the rebore on one of my wheels... so I had to use 3x 66.6 ->
64.1mm rings and one 74.1 -> 64.1mm ring. Had to buy 2 damn sets of hub rings
. Anyway... I won't name any names, definitely was frustrating to say the least, having my wheels and tires in storage while I wait for damn rings to arrive. But in the mean time, I ordered my TEIN Street Basis
.
I (tried to) installed the TEIN Street Basis myself, with the help of my awesome girlfriend hahah. It was taking way too long though, so my dad and eventually even my brother started helping me out. I actually needed all the help I could get with the rears... the stock shocks were so difficult to take out... but we eventually did it. The whole process took like 7 hours in total LOL.

Future mods:
I'm a total noob, so I don't have many photos that show progress of my car. So, I'll just start with photos of her as she is right now.

I know I need spacers for my rears... but I don't wanna roll my fenders either
. Yeah I'm soft.... shh. Any recommendations for spacer size?
Special thanks to MC MiYoung for the China license plate LEDs
, chris_cu2 for showcasing these wheels on his BWP with these specs, saucy for his awesome TEIN SS DIY which I used for installing my TEIN Street Basis, and to robpp for suspension torque specs
I'd also like to thank all the 2G guys on this forum for inspiring me on what to do (and what not to do hahah) with my ride. I was a little skeptical of my new ride at first... but this forum has really gotten me to love the look and feel of my ride.
Feel free to comment/criticize/etc. Thanks for looking! And sorry for so few pics
check out my IG for a couple more haha

Damn dude, those rims are siiiiick. Really, I like them a lot.
Definitely get the tint, it's going to look great as soon as you do. I'm a noob too with mods, bigger than you, so I'll be keeping tabs on this for easy mods I might be able to do hahaha.

Honestly, I haven't noticed the mpg effect (yet). It might be because my car's fuel economy readings haven't stabilized yet because it's always improving. She only has a little north of 5100km, and I've switched from mostly city driving to about 50/50 now. When I first got the wheels on, which was exactly 1 month ago, I was at about 10.9L/100km (~21.6 mpg). Now it's reading 10.7L/100km (22 mpg). I also got an alignment done about a week ago.
I read that the mpg is affected by increased friction due to more contact area between the tires and the road. The stockies were on 225/50/17s right? I'm running a semi-stretched setup of 235/40/18, so the contact hasn't really increased by much, if any. If I had to guess, the mpg probably has gotten a tad worse from the combined increased weight of the wheels and tires. For my next set of wheels I'll definitely be going forged/lightweight.

Nice setup...I like the look of 18's...more practical for daily driving.
Hope to meet up if we can get another meet setup...where has wassobe dissapeared to?
Definitely post up more pics when you get a chance.

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words.
This will have to wait
. Going to NY state this weekend, Montreal the next, and getting tint installed the weekend after. Hopefully I'll have some time to give her a nice wash after my tint settle in.
Yeah I agree on the 18s as well
. Maybe he's doing something big to his car and wants to stay low profile for a bit
