Honestly I don't care no more lol...they were like $20...the amount of work to put them in another car totally overweighs the price paid for them. (I know, extremely rude, wasteful and ignorant but yeaaah)

Philips Ultinon is 6000k but the bulb is actually 5700k most I seen it go for is $150+ and cheapest is $99. on ebay lol.

Phillips Xenon is cheaper and is either 4300k or 6000k cheapest is $59 -$89. I honestly don't know the difference between the 2 but the Lexus IS guys seem to like the ultinon alot

you're gonna drop 150 on a set of bulbs??? i'd rather buy a decklid spoiler with that money.

so you swapped out your oem hid's with hidextra 6000k bulbs? and asked them for a relay to stop the flickering? i'd just swap them back out for the oem bulbs...they're super bright as is.

Mr. Stak I changed them a week after I installed the bulbs. I couldn't wait any longer. $150 is steep for bulbs I know but its not an important change. I'll see after coils and rims what I have left haha

bulbs are like one of your most important functional mods

its really not a crime to drop 150 on quality philips HID's

ok it might not win you a car show, but you will be able to improve the drivability of your car

It was a group troll ed...sorry.

TBH I'd rather spend $150 on bulbs which have somewhat have some purpose as opposed to a lip spoiler which will do nothing beneficial to the car. aesthetics not counting.

reviving this thread from hibernation! Mr.NC can you go into a bit more detail of how the JDM front spoiler just "snapped" into place? Por favor. Thinking about getting one.

Only reason my thread is dead atm is because I am saving saving saving. Shit shipped to Canada jacks it up 1.5x the normal price lol. My wallet cries every time I see the yellow customs waybill attached to any packages I get.

Having said that.

The JDP (not JDM?)is OEM quality in fit and finish (which is more than I can say for my FAILTOE grille) It fit into every curve of the front bumper. So when I say it snapped on think of putting on a glove in that with a little effort, the lip can be pushed onto the front end and it fits right on it thus snapping into place. I have no other way to explain it lol. I wish I took a video but my shop did it in a couple minutes apparently.

Hope this helps in some way larryT. I'll try to explain it another way if it still doesn't make sense.

Having said that.

The lip has endured 1 Canadian winter. No scuffs or scratches or cracks

*knock on wood*

Thanks buddy. And didn't mean anything by reviving the thread..just was a way to start my post lol. So basically when I get the JDP (oops my bad...it's not JDM!) I can line it up and just push it in and everything should snap into place? Trying to visualize it lol. As for the tabs, how do they connect to the bumper? Thanks again for your help dude!!!!

There are metal screws but my body shop guy just used double sided tape where the bumper and the lower grille/foglights are and underneath he used 4 smaller screws around the edges. Not sure how you will mount yours but this has held the bumper in place so far.

Your 6000k turned out green/yellow? LOL dude thats just a bad HID kit then haha or did you mean 3000K? Cuz 6000K is white/blue and 3000k is mad jdm tyte amber yellow.....

My HID's from HIDExtra aren't the deep yellow that I wanted but I got used to them. The LaminX helps make it a bit yellower.

Sh** yea lol 3k jdm amber. Lmao. But yes it's green and yellow. It's xenon. This is not the first time I installed it but it's my first doing 3k. Thought I should do some fog light tint so it can be the color I want to be.. Doesn't look bad but.. I believe the green is not supposed to be there

It depends on the kits tbh, I know the yellowest 3000k aren't even HID's but normal halogens from PIAA and Hella etc.

Update/Progress Post

Had time to clean the car today so went for it. Wash/Clay/Wax was the plan

This is by no means as detailed as Slickooz or some of the other guys on the forum but it's enough for me lol.

Update on the ATLP Grille.
Ed's gap of doom

Uh oh....as you can see the CF beneath the emblem is cracked...NO FUCKING CLUE how...Mesh is pockmarked...the spray paint is comin off as my paint guy warned me so I'm not too cheesed by that

Mesh got ka-me-ha-me-ha'd as well

All the clips got rusted too...SMH...I got this grille in December...and it was a MILD(non-existant to some) winter up here...this is practically real world testing lol so this was disappointing to say the least.

If people ever wondered what the lightest Tint LaminX looks like....

Shitty view of the 45% tint but for the 142323235 threads askin...yes you can see through it in the day but still stay somewhat hidden..again this is the theme im goin for ghosted shit

4 hours later. I don't wanna drive it now haha

The End

For people asking about actual mods....between end of April and June...some boxes should arrive...that is all

I am damn tired, I dunno how professional detailers do this daily. Props to them for sure.

The grille itself? No props lol. It's such a great grille to look at but when you actually get up close to it, you notice fitment...and other details...then yeah...dissapointment
