Aside from that travesty in car modding history.

Still saving up for coils, creeping and lurking everyones wheel setup, so I can blow all your fucking minds next summer(well proly not but you never know). Roof spoiler might be copped as well.

THAT SHIT CRAY

11 Month's later...

If you know me on this forum you know my opinion on this part and its subsequent delays. Just relieved that it's finally here, that's all.

1st impression
  1. Packaged nice
  2. FRP(?) doesn't seem a crappy quality.
  3. Mesh needs to be spray painted black A$AP
  4. Tabs holding the mesh...uhhhh....yeaaah well alright
  5. Paint looks like good ol' Grigio Grey Metallic. Hopefully it's a perfect match.
  6. The tool you see in the 2nd picture is the Honda Bitch Clip Popper, picked it up as well. should be useful
It's -10 degrees Celsius and snowing as of right now. Def not installing at this time + I only have a single car garage and don't have access to warm weather, unlike some of you....TSXBITCH2010 or ed_6969 or eurofail. (Love you guys)

I'll have the shop who installed my JDP lip do the grille for me as well. January at the earliest. Any questions just holla

No I don't want the mesh to be grigio..that would look weird me thinks. Black is fine.
I wouldlike to install LED's behind the middle bar for looks tho.

LOL JK

Looking at my mod list from the 1st couple pages. All I have major left to do is coils and rims and that should be done by April
Roof spoiler, Modulo pedals, red hazard button, side skirts and rear lip will come as funds allow.

*CAR IS DIRTY I KNOW I KNOW, I SWEAR IT'S ROAD SALT AND I DID NOT DRIVE THROUGH A PILE OF COCAINE*

Proper photoshoot in a bit, forecast tells me it'll snow the next couple of days. I could have waited but I figured I'd share the love.

Bye

Nose Job

Fitment Pics

Dying for frontal pics eh?

Closeeeer.....tada!

  1. 1st time it was mounted on the bumper, it wouldn't fit at all, it was skewed to the right, I believe Ed_6969 had the same problem, so it's the master mold it came from that's the issue. My body shop guy had to dremel 1-2 cm from the inside to make it fit.
  2. Aside from that heartbreaking moment(you don't realize how sad you will be when you been waiting this long for this grille and the body shop guy goes "it doesn't fit" ) LOL Install was straight forward
  3. Spray painted black, may or may not peel/stick meeeeh
  4. Yes the right side seems to be sticking up a bit more compared to the left. I'll get that looked at later.
  5. There is a gap from top of grille to hood, it's the shape of the grille, I have a feeling they used a euro grille frame as a base thats why. If you remember sum1 took a euro grille and modded it on the forum and it had the same problem. I want to put a rubber strip there...or it's increased airflow for better cooling
  6. In terms of quality. Just comparing my JDP CF lip and the ATLP FRP grille (I KNOW ITS CF AND FRP, apples to oranges blah blah blah) but jus goin by feel before both were installed the ATLP doesn't seem up to par ie the JDP lip just felt nice in your hands(no homo)
  7. As for looks....uhhh 1st in Canada, 2nd or 3rd on the street? Looks good me thinks. I kinda wish the middle bar just went straight across instead of swishing up at the ends like that. Looks like a moustache to me.
  8. So if I was a new 09-10 owner and I saw this thread would I buy this grille? More than likely if I really hate the shield grille or want a different look. If you're patient there may be future options down the road.
  9. This grille took so long I actually got used to the shield grille.
  10. This post may seem like a straight bash but honestly I like the ATLP grille, it's alot more low key which is what I like.
  11. While bumper was off got the chance to install the 6000k Lows as well...wooooo

LONG READ, thanks for looking

Killer is right, that grille looks great with your JDP lip! I think in the end, all the wait and effort was totally worth it cause your car looks really frikken nice! Totally one of a kind now since your lip is a pretty rare mod too.

Thanks for the kind words guys. That journey is finally complete. Time to start another one.

If any1 is asking I am now using the old grille on a chain and I stunt hard when I meet the ladies.

Mr. Oto yes it is a Tim Hortons cup lol, I did a double take too when I walked into the workshop. I was about to say something but let it go lol.

1 thing I forgot to do now that I just noticed....Remove the Intake Resonator!!!!!!
