Nice car man. Can you take a daylight and night time picture of your rear tail lights with lamin-x? I am thinking about getting the tint 6% from them but Im not sure how its going to look like

The day + night pics I have are all on this thread. Sorry bro ill see if I can take pics but as everyone mentioned my car is DIRTY, shitty weather is a killer.
Honestly 6% isnthat much unless you park next to a stock tsx many people won't see a difference. Having said that if you know you have laminx like I do, the head & tail lights look darker

Well, Mr.NC and ed423, after looking at both your setup, I think the OEM definitely has better fitment. That said, I like the Acura emblem.
This is mine installed back in Feb 2010.

OEM is always going to fit better there's no question i knew that even before I put the HT grille on I was just hoping for something somewhat similar...but you can't get what you want always. EVEN AFTER 11 MONTHS OF WAITING

other than the center H emblem and the mesh, are there any big differences between HT grille and Modulo grille? im too lazy to check
did HT mold off modulo grille? like direct mold for the side whiskers?

Yeah, definitely difficult to not make snide comments in that other thread, particularly when part of the reason for the delay was the perfect fitment...

the "perfect fitment" statement is what bugs me too...i understand that ht has other stuff to take care of too but if he goes and makes a bold statement like "we won't release the product unless it's a perfect match so that's why it's taking so long" and then they finally release it and lo and behold, it's STILL not a perfect match...then it just kind of makes all the waiting useless. i give them big ups for even attempting to give the CU2 community another grille option but...the execution was not the best.
makes me wonder though...IF the fitment was a perfect OEM fit...how many of you guys would've bought it already?

in marcus' defense, i've read in other places the difficulty inherent in trying to achieve a perfect fit with fiberglass, but the time frame is whole another story

Mr. Stak you have no TSX you're void from the Mr. CU2's. Until further notice. If You get the ILX next summer....void as well.

when i picked up the grille from him, I think it was the first one. It was all dusty and shit and the emblem wasn't even attached. In the email he asked if I wanted him to install I told him ima just give it to the paint shop right away an install later.
Thank god the paint shop closed. I went home and test fitted and it turned out like sht. I told him about it and turns out the reason he wanted to do the install was that he was aware of the fitment issue, but was just "hoping for the best". So I have to drive an hour back to his place the next day to have it shaved. That's when he used it as an example to shave other grilles.
He then have the nerves to complain how I'm picky. I didn't say anything but I was so pissed when I found out the grille didn't fit. I was gonna return it but he insisted on fixing it to make it fit so I gave him a chance.
And of course after paint there was some problem that didn't fit. It took me 3 hours to install the grille to make it kinda fit, but one of the tabs didn't line up. I didn't wanna drive all the way back to fix it since it was just a small gap, but I went anyways because the gap was getting bigger and I want to fix it incase I need to reinstall it later on. I told him the issue on email and he told me I can swing by.
When I got there he looks at it and said he doesn't see a problem and seems like he didn't even wanna work on it. I then told him AGAIN that the tab didn't line up and I wanna fix it so that I won't have problems reinstalling it later. But he's like "but it fits right?" Which pissed me off a bit. He tried to fix it without taking out the bumper at first which obviously didn't work. So finally he had to it out to shave it a bit and finally it fits like it did before paint. He again stated that I'm picky and I'm expecting too much from this grille. (ahem perfect fitment was promised remember guys??)
And of course he said it's the last time he will work on this grille free of charge Since he was giving me free labor. Fixing it was a good will for the delay.
I appreciate him takin the time to fix it, but damn I was kinda pissed at his attitude.
