Utah, I was thinking this for the down pipe, have it facing the firewall... What you think?

http://www.designengineering.com/cat...um-pipe-shield

For the T3 looking at this... getting the shield kit... http://www.designengineering.com/cat...rbo-shield-kit

And for the firewall this: http://www.designengineering.com/cat...r/reflect-gold or would you recommend something else? Something like this?? http://www.designengineering.com/cat...ials/cool-tape (this would be for all the wiring/hoses/brake lines on the firewall...

Also, for the hot pipe, I am picturing just some standard heat pipe wrap like what we would install on the exhaust pipe, correct??

One note to individuals if you do the turbo, I got my piping all heat treated, however Utah suggests wrapping the components anyway, so potentially skip the ceramic heat coating???

Install starts tomorow

Everything is ready to start installing, I have all the parts I need and no more fabrication to do just put it all on yeah, and an appointment to dyno tune on Monday, I'm antsy to get going, this is when it all gets very interesting.

Lets all say a little prayer for big horsepower and no problems

oh yeah got my heart pumping and that was at no more than 4000 rpm. Well back to work still need to put the transmission cooler on

OH MY... I needs videos! So cool Utah!

Just upload your video to Youtube, then right click the video once it is uploaded and there should be an option to "copy video URL" Then you come here and paste the link directly in the comments page.

You already have an exhaust on that also?

I suspect the BOV on the EFR kit will be considerably more low key.

The price that Utah will shoot you will be "partial" is the word that I would utilize. I am working with a vendor on the site currently, to purchase the remaining parts, along with a clutch/fw and a 10 bolt ring gear... the list is long... the additional parts are well of 2k....

So rough estimate here....
turbo 1800
i/c 240
downpipe and intercooler pipes 550
coating of downpipe, turbo, and manifold 260
intake manifold, injectors pump, clutch/fw misc.: 2200
And by the time I pick up LSD that'll be another 500-800 dollars....
Then I'm going to have it installed and tuned.... that's around 1750....

This is not for feint of heart, I assure you.

Also... the price list above does not include the money I paid Utah to create said kit.

I also cannot say what the final price is that he will charge for the production kit, as mine being a prototype was much more manual in creation.

My list above is to provide a basic idea of what you will be looking at.

And those are the cost of the materials to build the parts no labor in those numbers
But the first time you hear that baby spool up ohhhhh its priceless.
