Im at like 6K right now smh....
And I still have to pay ~6-800 for clutch install and another 200 for VIT tune.
And I thought I was saving money buy going supercharged over Turbo haha

I asked around quite a few places, and no one is really in the position to make a system for the car right now.

Is that CU2 turbo or super charged ?

VTEC just kicked in, yo!
supercharged AWD CU2. It's Chivik777 on the forums. Look him up on here.. amazing work.
edit: actually I don't know if this one is the AWD one... but he apparently either owns or worked on both cars.
AWD CU2: https://acurazine.com/forums/perform...d-swap-839138/ (you can probably find more threads on this here)
One from the vid: http://www.accordforum.de/showthread...rd-22479.html? (use google chrome for translation if you wanna read stuff, cuz a lot of it is in russian)

One from the vid, here on Azine: https://acurazine.com/forums/photogr...harger-752171/ (car is very likely not up to date).
The red car in the other thread is the AWD one. Not sure what happened to that one, but Chivik owns a shop in Russia and he builds/tunes GTRs and other wild things. I guess these are either his sleeper toys or his customers with Euro Accords.

been working on my sons TYPE-S, we got the turbo today it's a EFR 8374 twin scroll t4 bad rammer jammer and some very cool 970cc dual cone bosch injectors, they would be perfect for our k motors, twin spay pattern for our dual intake ports

Hey Utah.. What is the max boost I can run safely with my SC on stock internals... I hit 10psi in third gear at 4000RPM.. this is way more than I expected. I thought it would be 10psi around 7500RPM.. Im worried now. What do you think?

Roots is a flat boost curve. I would expect to hit whatever the pulley size is created to operate at.
I get up to a bit over 10~11 psi right around 3800. It tapers off as you get over 7k rpm, but that's because of the internal WG. Which isn't the worse thing ever, as there is a bit of "safety" built into tapering off like that. It tapers to about 9.1 psi, but when you are in boost going through the rev range, you can't tell....

Utah - I did adjust that torque screw on the throttle body. I backed it out 1.5 turns, and will do a datalog with it later this week. I have to charge the battery, as the cold weather and sitting for weeks on end has killed the battery.
Besides that, any other things you are doing getting ready for emissions in April? I imagine you and I have to do the same things to pass emissions.

@Optimus did you beef up your internals as well? Im worried now that maybe Im gunna make too much boost for the stock internals to handle..
#740
Well what Im saying is that I think the pulley is gunna end up making close to 12psi at 7500RPM. And I have an aftercooler so colder air drops your pressure down. That's why I expected to only be at around 10psi in the higher rev range.

Yeah of course I expected added stress and I knew that I would more blow by than before, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't gunna blow up. I expected to max out at 10psi but it looks like Ill be a little higher than that. I think you are right about Vit doing stage 2 setup but I didn't know if any internal work was done. Just cause I dont wanna look it up, what are the symptoms of blown rings, other than excessive blowby? Is there any other indication?
If Optimus seems to be running fine, Im sure Ill be fine as well. I think.... lol

Optimus, how much boost are you running?

Joe what fuel do you have 91 or 93 ? 12psi is about as high as I would feel safe on stock internals, it's all in the tune and Vit will know how high to go looking at knock, intake air temps ETC. tell him what you want long term reliability or all the power you can get

Also, the SC has an external bypass valve.. why cant that be used to limit boost like turbo's?
#746
That being said the tune is of the utmost importance. Which is why my car will be vit tuned as well

It is adjustable the preload can be changed to open at a certan PSI

When the Throttle stays all the way open, it spikes up to around 11.5~ before tapering back down at 7000 - 7500. Tapers to like 9.4 or so.
The car becomes... "feather-weight" as far as forward locomotion is concerned.....

Well the excessive blow by and heavy oil smoke from the exhaust is the best visual indicator that some seal internally is compromised whether it be from the rings and bottom end or top end.. Another good indicator while driving would be misfiring due to oil build up in the chambers or maintenance wise having spark plugs that foul out prematurely.. This is purely in my experiences..

Yeah I really need a catch can. And Vit is legit so I know he'll do a great job on my setup.

Maybe RV6...
If you are wanting a turbo cu2, and it is a whole lot of fun...
I would urge you to really consider buying a car that's already turboed.
Why? my car - it doesn't get driven. I have to start it once a week.
I bought a DD, and oddly, though the acura could be a DD no problem, I am far too worried about the car getting hit by grocery carts, or dinged in parking lots.
