I wore my tires out in 15,000 - 20,000 miles. I've been busy with my kids car we need to get it back together and get it to pass emission testing, then I will start working on getting the TSX to pass emission testing, after that I'm going to get a new ball bearing turbo my Precision 5858 is starting to smoke a little if I idle for very long, wish I had optimus's EFR

The EFR is magical whenever I'm home to drive it...

It's finally warming up - I've been considering if I keep it and all, to get it to be emissions exempt. In Missouri, if you drive less than 6k a year, you can get an emissions exemption.

The biggest thing, is I pay tax, and insurance on a car that I put roughly 1100 miles on last year, and none this year so far.

If you ever get to REALLY want it Utah, let me know. Maybe I could be talked out of it.... You never know.....

Were you mostly in VTEC/WOT? Mostly city?

Your MPG should climb if you did more highway miles. 12.2 is pretty damn low though.

Boost should make a vehicle more fuel efficient when not on WOT actually. So I'm guessing you were above 5K most of the time.

You think gas is bad wait till you see what kind of tire wear you get LOL
I average about 26 MPG with normal driving and a little beating the crap out of the boost gauge mixed in

I have the entire suite of SPC rear arms...

Totally worth it.

Though, my tires, I bought in 2011, they don't even have 15k on them... That's how little driving I've been doing. I went in to have a leak fixed, and they're like... ummm... you bought tires in 2011. And I was like, o.k. Then they said, well, they probably aren't in warranty, to which I said I want it fixed, whatever. They went and checked mileage, and they were stunned. So free fix. w00t w00t!

I did not, my engine is still OEM.

Utah did build his motor, I am unsure if he utilized ARP studs though.

Two months since my last post wow to much yard work, kids turbo TYPE-S, daughters Accord, Well my turbo stared smoking prety bad at idle (Precision journal bearing) so I tore it apart and rebuilt it the compressor wheel touched the housing and you can't but a new one you have to send it to Precision and it costs 75% of what a new turbo would cost so I've decided to save up and get a garrette ball bearing turbo,
I've turned the boost up to 19 PSI now and my revlimiter is at 8200 RPM now and it fly's, raced a 2012 BMW M3 the other day it's got a few mods nothing major exhaust intake tuned etc. and it was a close race we were side by side untill we hit a 100 MPH then I started walking away at 140 MPH I had about 3-4 cars on him it was fun for sure, well have fun everyone ( Oh optimus is selling his turbo kit that will make a ton of power and the turbo is super reliable buy it)

Utah is right. You SHOULD buy it.

If utah wanted it, I'd sell it for cheap.

Got all the parts, and all the little parts that were hard to find, like water lines.... what a deal that was...

You're worth it Utah.

It is beautiful. But, I was just done with it, when the car got side lined.

I was upset when I sold my 98 turbo accord, but I wasn't really upset with this one. I just didn't have a connection to it anymore I suppose??

I just gotta grab the intercooler from the shop, and hopefully the modified rear mount. So, that will be included. Pictures will be taken as soon as I get it all lined up.

I will also create a thread for listing it. The pictures here will be just for everyone to see Utah's work.

I also included a magnaflow turbo compatible catalytic convertor, it's welded in, and two o2 sensor bundles.

I'm currently selling the kit, with all associated supporting mods right now in the black market forums.

As far as Utah making another kit, I'm not sure he will.

It made the car quick and fun. But in two years I put less than 1500 miles on the car.

Well my Precision 5858 is dead so I talked to Vit Viper tuning and he talked me into a Comp Turbo ball bearing CT4X-6267 T4 .81 a/r 3" VBand Out (It wasn't to hard) it.s a little bigger so it will make more power on the same boost but it won't spool as fast as the 5858 we guess about 500 RPM later can't wait to get this installed

I don't know anything about associated costs with boosting, but this is sounding to be a very expensive turbo build. How did the precision die? How long was it on the car? And was it tuned when it died?

Well I see tons of people complaining about Precision turbos not lasting, I really wanted the EFR 7670 like optimus's kit but it was double the price 2G I paid $900 for the 5858 and I just couldn't swing the cost, The precision started smoking at idle so I took it off to put new journal bearings and seals in it and found that it had so much shaft play the wheels hit the housing and shaved about 3mm off them, I fixed the leaks but it lost it's BANG of power it still gets up to 16PSI but with a lot more duty cycle on the boost controller so that means it's working much harder to make that boost level and that means more back pressure in the turbine and on the motor Vit tells me that the K motors with the single exhaust port don't like back pressure and that is why I'm going bigger turbine wheel and bigger housing
Sorry about the grammar I'm a mechanic is my excuse

Naw I could care less about grammar issues coming out of you. You're the turbo GURU here! Good luck buddy keep us updated. I think you made the right choice! Losing an engine is a painful experience I'd imagine. Losing 2, well..
