If this works, doesnt blow up our cars, and is possible to do easily in the US, i dont see who WOULDNT want this.

Maybe get in touch with someone on USA side who could work out a partnership with you ?

increase of about 20 hp and 16nm torque

upping rev limit pushes your engine past the redline it was intended to operate, where normally your fuel cutoff activates to prevent extra stress on operating components, the reflash would remove that limited and be like nah, work a little harder bitch, and your engine would comply.

Lowering the Vtec point means we are in the sweet spot sooner and faster. More vtec more good.

source: my ass. im making all this shit up

Chivik, i'm in but a couple of questions.

#1 will i be able to drive my car with no ECU and
#2 will it work with all my mods I currently have and future mods? Like how will it adapt to all of it???
#3 how long will it take from when i send it to you?

without chivik even chiming in im pretty positive your car wont drive without ECU 1, and 2) since you have an accord chivik might have to tune it a little differently

1> NOPE
2> YES. As of adapt, a reflash should adapt to your mods/driving style

Get a compatible ECU from a "recycler" (aka salvage yard) for your car, install it to make sure it works, then send *it* to the company reflashing it.

I've done this a dozen times, the extra ECU comes in handy for a multitude of reasons.

Nice job chivik. Would love to rock this on my V6. I dont know much of how this works honestly. Do you need more parts to make this work, or is just a reflash sufficient? Little bit of a noob on this one.

Is there a way that we could obtain one of these flashing units so that we could program the ECU ourselves, or someone in the states do it?

The dealership has updated my ecu twice now, I am not sure why hondata or whoever doesn't have something available for us already.

KG, you don't drive your car right now...why don't you do it?

How hard/easy is it to remove your ecu for mailing?

You think the accord ECU and the TSX ECU are the same? I'm sure it's near impossible to find a TSX in the junkyard around here. ):

here's how you do it.

all of you guys chip in for 1 new or used ECU.
put up a sign up list to set a queue
1st person is to send out their own ECU to mother russia
this person will use the rental ECU until they get their own ECU shipped back to US
this person will then send the rental ECU to the next person
whoever has the last rental ECU, send this out to get reflashed and resell it for a profit or give it to me for significant discount on the genius idea.

rinse and repeat.

pretty smart idea defcon. But it will require everyone on the queue to be responsible, quick and committed.

22 nm (Newton-Meter) is about 16 ft/lb and 21 ps is about 20.7 HP.

I think the torque is the impressive part seeing how the gain comes in at 3800 rpm. I am not sure what 21 HP gain at 6800rpm would do for daily driving so can someone elaborate?

I do like your idea though Defcon but perhaps a regional thing will work better since we can phyiscally deliver the chips. Perhaps this can be a topic at Saturday's meet at Garden Grove?
