Also, probably best to send a bunch at once, I can't imagine shipping to Russia is cheap.

Look at the graphs Jack, I see gains in both hp & tq pretty much through out the power band. He only pointed out the point of greatest increase.

Friends, I do not quite understand you clearly.
I have 3 years of doing the tuning CU2.
I have clients in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Germany.
And they all trust me.

How hard/easy is it to remove your ecu for mailing?
ECU is pretty easy to removed. It located under the hood, not too far from the air filter box. I think it just takes a couple screws, flip the locks on the harness plugs, and pull the harness off.

One thing I wanted to bring up. The ECU reads the security chip in the keyfob. If the ECU doesn't read the security chip, it won't let the engine start. If I use a 2nd ECU, will a key need to be sent along with the ECU so the immobilizer can be reprogrammed to accept the chip in the key? I know this had to be done with some of the past Hondata products.

^^^ imagine if you loose a car key....you can program the onboard computer to "forget" the key....similarly you can program the onboard computer to learn the keys....this can be done to the existing ECU or the loaner which becomes yours in the "trade ECU" scenario....

You will either send in your ecu or buy a second one have immobilizer programmed or turned off then send it for the reflash. I do believe heeltoe should get involved in this. Make it a little more trouble and worry free.

Not just me, anyone can go on this site and get contact info. A couple of them were listed w/key, and they'd probably send the...whateverthehellthekeyreceiveriscalled.

Be advised, some of these salvage yards aren't exactly...BBB rated places. I'm familiar with a few of them you DON'T want to deal with, but for the most part, they're there to sell parts & are OK to deal with.

Not that we dont trust you gosha, but i think everyone in the states would be more comfortable keeping a valuable piece which is required for their car (like the ECU) in the states, for one, shipping would be slower, and two, if theres a problem, it could be addressed way faster than if we sent it to russia, and three, in general i would just be much more comfortable doing business and keeping everything in the USA

Particularly in light of the fact that some of us need to drive our cars so if we don't have our ecu then no starting the car and that means no driving and that's not gonna work.

I understand you.
It is strange that no one but me deeply involved in the tuning CU2.
Excuse me for my bad English. http://translate.google.com )))
Flashing is done in one day.
No need to flash immobilizer.
Shipment of the ECU to Moscow takes 2 weeks.
Back to the U.S. two weeks too.

RonBurgundy from tsx club send me the ECU through his friend, who is flying to Moscow

im totally interested but the thing is that i want a rotrex supercharger and would need a tune for that. How would we go about doing this without me shipping you my car. Thats one reason why you should work with a vender in the states. Plus to trouble shoot if there is ever any trouble. No offence but here in America we have a saying for this(SHIT HAPPENS). Weather heeltoe or excelerate is fine with me. Maybe someone should send them a link.

Guys, we in Russia have already built about 18 Cu2 with Jackson Racing and 11 with Rotrex, 5 CU2 cars with K24/K20 head.

And you have done?
Hondata did that for three years?
We have a lot of experience for CU2

in the suby world, there is something we do called an "internet tune." The tuner would send you a base map via email, and you would upload it to your car via a tactrix cable, and perform datalogs and send them back to the tuner. He would then adjust the maps and send you back a revised one for you to repeat the process until it was perfect a/f, timing and knock.

I adjusted my own maps for my wrx and so forth. I dont see why no company has been able to get honda into the "opensource" spectrum of tuning yet.

for more info about what people do for free tuning options in subarus / evos google "opensource" "tactrix" "rom raider"

Chivik.....A few questions for you. As I am a noob when it comes to some of this. Have you guys performed this on any V6 CU2's? Is it possible to get this done? Also, if it is possible to replace your cars ecu, why not just buy one, ship to you, you flash, ship back and then we do the swap, and sell our old ecu to another user, and so on. Again, this could be a completely stupid idea as for I do not have much knowledge in this. Also, will this reflash break some of the security functions of the car. Since I am under the understanding that our keys are coorelated to our ecu's, in sense we cant crank without it, but when it has been reflashed and sent back will key/security locks all function as before just waaallaaahhh more HP?

Again, I apologize for my lack of knowledge on this.

If I lived in Russia I would be down. As of now, I'll wait for our slow ass vendors in the USA. When hondata figures it out you know turbo kits and superchargers will be available at the same time, why pay twice for a reflashed ecu? IMHO it's not worth $500 and another $200 for a used ecu when soon enough all of this will be available here with a lot more support for problems and trouble shooting. No offense chivik, your work is awesome. Just too far away!

well if you check out hondata's site, their flash pro and stuff are 600-700 range, so i mean its not really that much of a price difference. besides, it doesnt seem like they want to do anything to the cu2. i think the reflash by chivik is great, just like you said, its a bit far. but for those members who arent afraid of a little distance and language barrier, i think this will be a great opportunity to help our car's performance

Thats assuming i would be able to make adjustments to his chip or program myself. Plus i prefer dyno tuning with a proper air fuel meter over street tuning. By the way this is t-jay i forgot to sign out of my brothers account.

it's not done via "chip." It would be a reflash via a cable and laptop. street tuning with a wideband is a suitable way to tune.

I understand what you are saying but I dont have the knowhow. If it was simple like kpro I would be all for it. But his flash program probably isnt even in english. Not slmething I would attempt myself. Would prefer to have someone do a full tune and dyno run. Plus a street test to make sure its a smooth transaction.

I know someone mentioned this already but did anyone follow up with the possibility of the J&R ecu being used? If it can work then it would save alot of time and hassel plus any technical questions the company is located in the US.

I looked up FedEx and sending a package to Moscow is like $270. Is there a cheaper way to do it? I do have money I can spend on the car as I mentioned in the other thread but I want to spend it on the car not on freight LOL

Okay so I have found reasonable shipping rates via the post office but I have no idea how big the ECU is. Will it fit inside a 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" box?

Also, since I have no knowledge on how to do any of this stuff I'm hoping someone in the Southern California region can help me out. I need somebody to get my ECU out and put the replacement back in. In return you can drive my car after it's been flashed. Anybody up for it?
