XM to Sirius switch?

I changed the XM tuner to a Sirius tuner (HON-SC1 and SCC1) on my MDX several months ago. It was pretty hard to get to the factory XM tuner. Has anyone changed their TSX sat tuners out? Where is the factory location?

They are the same company now, is this necessary?

Nope. The channel line up changed a little while ago. No need to switch tuners.

I have a 3 year contract on my MDX with Sirius. I also have another vehicle on that contract. Even though XM and Sirius have merged, their billing and accounts are VERY separate, so I cannot include the TSX's XM with my existing Sirius account. So it will probably be cheaper in the long run to add Sirius to the TSX.

sirius also offers lifetime memberships sometimes and XM never has.

XM Offered me a lifetime subscription when I called last week. I chose $77 for a year instead.

I'm assuming its around 300-400 like the sirius ones..

I normally would be down for this , but with xm sirius close to being bankrupt... i'm not sure I want to commit to more than a year at a time.

FYI, the "lifetime" price is only for the lifetime of the Hardware! So, if your unit dies, there goes all that money...just so you know...

I just signed up for the XM lifetime at $395.

The lifetime allows 3 transfers to other XM radios.

I asked them what happens if my factory radio dies and the dealer has to install a new one? I have to use one of my transfers.

Otherwise, I can transfer to new vehicles in the future.

Scary thing about the lifetime is if it goes belly up. I have had XM since 2004 and wish they had the lifetime option back then. My buddy has sirius and had to pay like 150 to switch radios.

peteyx, did you ever...

...make the XM to Sirius switch in your 09 TSX? I just bought the conversion kit and was looking for some advice. I've seen some posts about the 08, but the tuner location is different in the 09 (under the glovebox).
