Post factory amp speaker wire harness?? Searched everywhere!
I know to connect an aftermarket sub, you have to take the signal post amp. I'm trying to avoid splicing speaker wires, so what I want to do is: disconnect the post factory amp harness (not sure if it's male or female) and replace it with a harness that matches the pins of the factory harness, but has spliced wires on the other end .
Then connect those wires to the aftermarket amp inputs (it has high level inputs)
Then take a second harness that's reverse... Spliced wires on one end to connect from speaker outputs on aftermarket amp, and a pin connecter to plug into the one originally removed from factory amp. Basically having an amplified signal going to all the speakers.
Do any connectors like this exist?
I read this entire forum and lots of people with first gen doing something like it, but connecting to head unit instead. I know we can't do that.

Big bump ...... anyone do something like this? I'm also interested, but for my 4G TL, looks like we share the same amp..... well at least same connectors.

i don't think this will work after amp..but if you decide to go before the amp-- look at the metra 70-1730..some of the guys with the aftermarket headunits are using it.. also..if you know the wires you need and don't want to cut wires..check out posi-taps

I searched for the same harness but found none. I have read that you can take the signal from the head unit or at the preamp level in a non-tech version. I was not able to connect at the preamp level with my technology package. I had to cut my wires at the postamp level and connected wires to a DSP.

If you are just adding a sub than use the Honda 98 and up speaker wire adapter, Just unplug the factory sub and connect your amp with the adapter. This is the same for Base and Tech systems. I have a harness/adapter for a full amp bypass on the 2nd Gen Base. At this time the 18pin (speaker side) connectors are not available. I can get them but have to order a factor lot, that would be over $2000.00 so we wait...
Also, the factory connector is only rated for 3 amps so it's no good for big amps.
