Heavy Duty Wiring harness

I've put Nokya Arctic whites in my DRL and was highly recommended to use the NOKYA heavy duty harness.... I did Order it and have it on hand but I'm confused.... Do I need to take out the OEM harness completely or plug the Nokya one into the OEM and then to the headlight?

I'm confused since the harness is so short and I'm not exactly sure where it is supposed to ground

Usually the hd harness plugs into the old harness in place of old bulb.
And then into new bulb.

Grounds are inside fender. If it doesnt reach make it longer.

So the HD harness doesn't really "replace" the old one

So you replaced 35w bulbs with 100w bulbs? I hope you don't have any warranty repairs coming up and have deep pockets.

A little HD wiring harness won't help if the rest of the wiring isn't of the corresponding size. I see major electrical issues in your future and none of them are covered under warranty.

Other users in here have done the same bulb and setup and I havent heard any complaints yet.

I havent installed them yet.... Nokya makes a lower wattage "stage one" version.. Do you still suspect problems down the road

I had the stage 2 Nokyas for my DRL for around 6 months. I was also using the heavy duty wire harness extension. Knowing what I do now, I wouldn't recommend it. Even though I didn't have any problems there could have easily been some. Nothing melted even in the Texas summer.

As added advice, the arctic white nokya bulbs suck. Even with stage 2 the high beams were hardly useful. They also wont be white at all when used as DRL. They only look good when the car is parked since the blue color reflects in the housing.

I replaced with Nokya yellow bulbs and the high beams are much brighter even with stage 1.

I did a lot of wiring work and made the fog lights always on so those are my DRL.

I don't have any pictures at the moment. They won't help all that much since most of the wiring is now hidden. I followed this guide pretty closely (start reading at post 112). It was a little bit of work and will take some time to understand exactly what is going. Especially if you haven't worked with relays before.
