Should I be Worried?

I know that the Accord and TSX have a brake issue for the 09 and 10 models. I was at the dealership for the first oil change and tire rotation in August, and they told me I have 90% or better brake pads on all 4 wheels. However, about a week after going in, I noticed my brakes are now squeaking loudly every-time i hit them. I don't want the rotors to get damaged or anything. I don't know if i trust the dealer since it started right after they touched the wheels. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I am in the exact same boat. I'm not too sure I'd be overly-worried about it. Just keep an eye on it.

Two immediate options.

1) Check the brakes yourself. If you know how.

or

2) Go back to the dealer and show them the problem. You probably have a warranty period on their service so if they fucked anything up...it's on them.

Bring back to dealer. Let them replace it under warranty.

squealing can be caused by other things besides low brake pad material. take it in to the dealer to have it checked out.

Sometimes my breaks stop working. Especially inconvenient while negotiating hills and things of the like.

indeed. if the brakes ever start causing me problems, i'm not replacing with OEM. especially with the horrible braking distances that were reported in all the car reviews..

I had the front TSB done for a little pedal vibration...pads were replaced with those springs I guess and the rotors turned. They wouldn't look at the back without charging me something since there was nothing wrong with them after the fronts were done. I'm guessing I'll have to replace the rears soon anyway as I'm coming on 24k miles, and I'll probably just go aftermarket and get some ceramic pads.

Keep in mind that for best performance, of whatever type you want, you should use similar pads front and rear. Different pads at different ends of the car will change the braking bias and may cause more problems.
