Exclamation RIP Silver Moon

It's official she has been laid to rest. But on a lighter note picking up my '13 TSX CBP with Navi today. Clear paint protection, yellow lamin-x fogs, and color match splash guards. Tint appointment set up for next Saturday.

Yeah kids were in the car too. Rear ended by 18 yo kid doing about 40 mph while I was stopped and pushed into oncoming traffic. Not a scratch in us though.

Thanks mrstak. Three cars involved. My car, the car that rear ended me and this guy who I crashed into head on.

Thanks Acura_Dude and Opboarding.

@Opboarsing
Was able to grab what I could for parts but once at the salvage yard I wasn't going to start ripping off the grille lights etc. didn't want to chance the insurance asking questions and not total her out.
@mrstak
Yeah my car hit the pathfinder which hit the curb and rolled it. Pathfinder must have barrel rolled in the air because only went like 10 feet from my car. Craziest part was it was literally right in front of my house. Was stopped waiting to pull into my driveway. Pathfinder hit my recycle bin and there was $hit all over my lawn. TSX for life. Or at least until it get replaced with TLX.

Thanks Terdonal

@ceb
They ended up going to hospital but after speaking with the police officer afterwards it appears they were fine aside from being a little sore.

Uhhh....Wow. I guess you're never home until you're really home. Happy to hear everyone is safe and doing well. Glad to know that the TSX kept you guys safely tucked inside. Makes me feel better if I ever get hit, I'll be safe too.

Good luck on this whole process and hopefully you guys won't have to go through anymore trouble.

i almost feel bad for the kid who rear-ended you. his insurance from now on will cost more than car payments for quite some time.

On a personal note, I'm a little annoyed that my accident resulted in some injury (whiplash and a concussion) but those things are really dependent on specific instances.

I bought another and work in the industry so I'm convinced that this is one of the safest cars in this price category.

yea i still have whiplash from mine. i have a fragile neck now. if i ever get pushed hard enough from the back from basketball, my neck will snap back and it'll take me a good couple minutes before i feel decent.

Don't feel too bad ceb I did have the whiplash. Nothing a few muscle relaxers and pain killers didn't cure. *read* best sleep since kids have been born and everyone treats you super nice.
But yes I do agree on the safety of our cars. I have always been a Honda/Acura guy and the accident gave me another reason beyond styling to love them.

At least I got my CBP today. Pics soon after tinting. Need to have the dealer trim up the paint protection too. Little sloppy around the edge of the hood area. And something I had to deal with on my '13 that I didn't on my '12....Bumper plugs. Stupid plate bracket.

Ahhh, the power of youth. 6 weeks out I'm not feeling much better yet and I'm still undergoing physical therapy.

Don't take injuries lightly - they can have long lasting effects. Be especially careful of the kids.

Just a quick phone pic of the new car. Getting the windows retinted this Friday. Not dark enough for my liking. Got me a roof spoiler I need to still install too. Then saving for some coilovers.
