Nuisance & Current setup

I had my TSX for over a year and there are questions that remains unanswered:

First, whenever I start the car the MID goes back to blank. I wish the car would remember my previous display (gas consumption, how long I driven so far, etc) and would display right back when I start the car.

Second, is there any way for non-tech TSX to download the phonebook from the phone? I believe I've seen the voice option under HFT but it would not synchronize. Is this limited to Tech Only?

Here is how my car is setup in the time being:

Thanks!

love the wheels on it. i dont think there is a way for the MID to remember the screen, sorry.

also, the car will not download contacts, you can add contacts to your car phone book, but the only way i have found is to speak the name of the contact, and then to speak the entire phone number to the car. takes too long for me, so i havent done that. you can also while driving say "call/dial ###" and it will dial the entire number you say, and also display the number it heard on the MID. i prefer to just press and hold the siri button on my iphone, it takes a second to trigger my bluetooth in the car, and then i just speak what i want my phone to do, aka "call zup2sky" lol

I agree mid going blank each time is a pain but I use that as my reminder to check the tire pressures on my first drive of the day. I like the wheels.

That's what I figured which is unfortunate. When you use your siri to dial a contact, does it automatically switch on HFL? My android device does not do that. I would have to wait until the person on the other line picks up, and only then, I can manually switch over to the bluetooth. This is my third nuisance. I don't recall Loaner TL doing that. Whenever I dial from the phone, it would automatically switch over to HFL.

Terry, I very much like your A-Spec wheels and I'll buy the wheels in a heartbeat if you ever decide to get rid of them

There is a way to add/save numbers to the hands free link system if you do not have tech. I work for a Honda dealer and will ask a sales/service guy. They will no for sure.

When I first got my car I remember saving a few phone numbers that I call frequently. Then I could just say "call home" and it would do it. I don't really remember how I did it but I think it should tell you under the handsfree link info. Don't think there is a way to get the whole phonebook on there easily.

I think that may be a tech only feature, unless I'm doing it wrong. I tried a while ago and couldn't get it working.

Agreed .. wish the MID would do that ... I always like to see the Range as I drive. Turn MID display to Range every time I start the car.

I would have to agree that Siri seems the most feasible.
