Check emissions, check engine, check VSA help!
My 2009 TSX has been consuming oil the last year or so, but my mechanic said that the rate of consumption is within specs according to Acura. It has around 130k miles on it. Yesterday the oil level light flickered and I realized I had forgotten to check it, sure enough it was low. So, this morning I put a quart in before leaving for work but as I started to back out of the driveway the motor suddenly began to shake/misfire, the check VSA warning came on followed by the check engine light and check emissions warning.
I double checked the dipstick, oil filler cap and fuel cap to make sure everything was tight. Scanned for codes and got P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected. Turned off and restarted a couple times but did not help.
I assume this is limp mode? Any ideas where to start troubleshooting? Is it related to engine oil or is that just a coincidence?
Sadly I live in a small town with one mechanic who is always booked and the nearest Acura dealership is well over an hour away.

So I replaced the plugs, which were due anyway, and the misfiring continued. Swapped cylinder 4 ignition coil around and the misfired followed, so it appears to be a bad coil.
Question...do all four need to be changed at the same time, or just the bad one? Any opinions on OEM vs aftermarket coils?

Hello, the Acura dealership diagnosed P0304 Cylinder#4 Misfire on my 2010 TSX. I am planning to change the spark plugs and coil this weekend.
Can you please tell me the numbering of the cylinders when I am looking into the hood from the front of the car?
Is it:
Cabin
1 2 3 4
Front Bumper
