But if you keep getting bugs then there is some other issue. One or two can get trapped and will eventually die. If you've got an infestation or a constant stream of them, they're feeding on something inside the car.
You could nuke them with spray but it's probably not so great for your resperatory system to be in a closed space after. Plus that won't eliminate the problem forever.
Eliminate the source; eliminate the problem. If it's really bad, pull the seats and carpet and see if there is any gunk you don't know about. Do a 10% bleach wipedown of the floor followed by a couple clean water wipes to clean it up. Use vinegar instead of bleach if you're a tree hugging hippy.
Bug bombs should be the last resort. Road trip to somewhere really hot (Death Valley?) or go on a ski trip (Vancouver?) and leave your car outside. The bugs will either roast, or leave. In the cold, they might hibernate and survive.
Or, erm, you know, clean the interior every once in a while. When I say clean your interior, I mean like spend 2 hours vacuuming every nook and cranny.
One lady at my job told me whe had squirrels living in her car she didnt use often. Once they homed there she could scare them off but they would always come back.

Squirrels ≠ hamsters. Everyone knows that's like comparing tomatoes to potatoes.
I've found the most effective way of getting rid of bugs is to spray down the entire interior and exterior of the car with this:
Make sure to spray the cabin air filter generously so that the insecticide will properly circulate through all the nooks and crannies where they like to hide too!

Not sure about that. I mean, tomatoes and potatoes are both marsupials so it's pretty similar. Besides, if you stew up squirrel and hamster with potatoes and tomatoes they both taste the same.
Aw hell, it wasn't even my bad joke... Continue on.
Check out your cabin air filter. I've heard of them collecting pollen and spores and then creating little ecosystems. It isn't too far fetched to think that if you got a bit of junk in the filter and it was able to grow some mold or something then bugs might get attracted and start feasting and basically move in.
