That super boring rear bumper and lack of exhaust tips is a major turn off. The duals and quads on the TSX and TL looked great IMO.

 

Same thing could be said for the 528i and A6 when comparing to the CTSV.

acura's perceived brand image is no where near the germans.
Why would I choose a $50k boring acura over the germans? (for value obviously)

Yeah I agree. the RL just makes no sense, There are much better cars for that money.

The only thing the Acura has going for it though is the reliablility, and you do get more overall features standard rather than paying extra on the German cars.

 

While I agree Acura's brand image isn't near MB and BMW, there are reasons to consider the RLX SH-AWD over the 528xi and Audi A6 3.0

Vr1 is right though, there are some reasons to get an RLX over the competitors.
You can get quite a bit more for the money, although the RLX may not be as.. "refined" as the competition.

I personally wouldn't spend that kind of money on a FWD car, although the new sport hybrid awd thing looks promising. Anyway most people who buy those kind of cars want the luxury, not the performance and the Acura is fine for that.

Did some runs with my boy's GT and GTR. Beat the GT in the curvy roads (driver mod here), destroyed by the GTR (same driver as the GT). Lost burnout competition to the GT though , but my car was louder (His GT is stock). My friend only recently got his license, and I have my temp. so I had to be careful.

TSX corners fairly well stock, way better than a GT. But i'm surprised your TSX is louder than a GT. and lol even trying to compete with godzilla.

 

i tried to race a gtr in my saab back in the days lets just say i won.... god i want a gtr so much win. i hear rumours you guys can pick those up for around 50-60k (used) down there.

Yeah, I have seen the 09-10 models go for like 50-60k in my area. The Nissan dealer near me had a black edition for like 60k I saw last time I went. (i dunno year old mileage but still, GTR!)

I tried a burn out a while ago and it didn't really work lol..
Ya with all this talk of the mustang being a "sports car" I was dissapointed with its cornering capabilites.. I mean the handling was fine , but my TSX felt better to me. Hard to describe but it felt more "tight" around the corners. I drove both with the windows down and my car sounded a bit louder too me (I have the intake resonator delete thing). The engine also pulled to redline faster. GT felt lazier. Took much longer to get into the higher revs. Also, the Auto trans in that car isn't very good.. The TSX is sports shifts faster then the Auto GT. As for Godzilla it was just for fun.. Didn't get to drive it though
Overall the FRS I drove was much more fun then the 5.0.

 

The GT has a solid rear axle, being the POS it is. Not so great for cornering.

How did you do your TSX burnout? If you really want to do one... handbrake up and neutral drop it. You'll only get a 1 wheel burnout though due to our open diff and it's not the greatest thing for your transmission..

My old ody did the best burnouts. I wish i took a video, but i left like 20 ft long skidmarks and a cloud of smoke. fun.

When I tried to do the burn out, I turned VSA off, put it in first, revved to 7k and let go off the brake. I'll try the handbrake up and neutral drop next time.

I did miss the AZ meet here in MD tho :/ found out about it after it was over.

Oh well what you did is a great way to blow up your torque converter.
Try what i said and you'll get a burnout. (don't do it too much its bad for your trans).

Not sure whether to do Springs, Decklid Spoiler or get Forza 5 + Xbox One. (Forza is the only game I play on Xbox)

 

xbox one is terribad. Used my friends, so glad i didn't get one. Forza 5 is decent though but not worth getting the console just for that. (PC gaming is way better)

Get springs and sway bar IMO. Decklid adds nothing. I bought mine a while ago and never got around to putting it on.

 

That's up to you. Which do you think you will use more. If Forza is the only game you play on Xbox and you intend to play it a lot, then go ahead and get it.
The game looks great.

You can even get the Titanfall Xbox One bunlde, which is the same price as the Xbox One, but comes with the game for free..... so you get 2 games that way.

 

That's what Ive heard; but Forza 5 looks pretty good. I got GT6 when it first came out and now I'm bored of it. Swaybar + Springs is definitely on my list, it's just a matter of when I get everything. IDK why but I really like the look of the deckild spoiler, just completes the look to me.

 

Titanfall bundle looks pretty good. Probably won't play it a lot though.

You don't need a tutorial. Just pull off the cover and unscrew the light covers.
