VSA and /!\ Light aggravation.

I have had an issue with one of my wheel sensors after I replaced my front wheel bearings. I had ABS engage and disengage while low speed braking. Took it to my shop and found one of my sensors to be crudded up and too much distance to the cv shaft. I walked to my car and now I have the VSA and /!\ light on. I went back in and they said take it for a ride and see if it goes away.

Little to say that the issue did not go away. So I am planning on going back tomorrow and trying to fight for them to fix all the issues. They charged me 100 bucks to fix the abs problem which I think is fair but this other issue is now a result of them working it. Especially since I was told that all codes were cleared.

What else that could be related to the wheel sensor issue that would keep the light on?

For giggles I went to advance auto and borrowed their OBDII scanner. As usual no codes were picked up with it so I am going to rely on the shop to tell me the issue or what ever they find. I was hoping I could find the code and confirm what they determine to be the issue.

Any where that does scanning for free?

Autozone scanners won't read ABS and VSA codes, they only read emission codes normally. It sounds like they still have a problem with that wheel speed sensor. I would have them recheck all of the speed sensor gaps at each wheel. The gap should not exceed 1.0 mm.

I dont think it is the wheel sensor issue any more. I dont have abs engaging like i did before. I am pretty confident they fixed the abs issue. I do think this is some thing indirectly related but i guess i will have to find out tomorrow.

maybe the codes just need to be cleared cause I don't think that they'll erase themselves.

That would have been the first thing to try besides pressing the VSA button.
