Transmission or sensor?

I know there are a million problems with the the trans, but I wasnt able to find anything with this particular problem.

The car is an 03 TL base... had the trans replaced at 50k miles, its now at 190k. So, its probably about time... I just got the car, and this was my third trip in it, minus the test drive.

I got in, started driving, got to the stop sign, tried to go from a stop (or a very slow crawl) and it just revved. I put it in neutral, stopped completely, put it back in drive and I was fine... til the next stop sign. Same thing. When I got to a red light, I found that if I put it in neutral, came to a stop, then put it back in drive, I was fine. Shifts from 1-5 seemed fine, no apparent slipping or anything. Just had the problem going from stop to go.

Is this possibly the trans going again? I thought maybe there's a sensor or failing and causing it to think its in neutral?

Thanks for your help...

Some more info... Hopefully you guys have some ideas. My driveway is on a bit of an incline, not real steep, but I couldn't play basketball on it. I first noticed the problem when I parked in reverse, so with the rear end higher than the front end. I havent been able to test it much, but it seems to be better when I park straight in, or with the front end higher than the rear.
I'm planning on checking the AT fluid level, and doing a flush since I don't know when the last time it was done. Would a low fluid level cause the car to miss 1st gear? I dont really notice any slipping into any other gears. Problem only seems to be when I slow down enough to get into first, it acts like it's in neutral. I can put it in Park, then slowly down to REV - D5 and it works....

More info:
My driveway is on an incline... not real steep, but steep enough not to put a basketball hoop in the driveway. The problem seems to be worse, if not caused by, when I park backward, or with the rear end higher than the front end.
And again, it only seems to be when I'm moving, I slow down to a stop, then its like its slips into neutral. If I go back to Park, then slowly back to D5, I can get going again.
I'm gonna check the fluid levels, but would a low AT fluid level cause something like this or could it be a sensor/solenoid problem? Prayin for the cheap fix......

Whatever you do, don't do a tranny flush. 3x drain and fill is recommended instead.

x2 on changing fluid. Try that first.
