Tranny Swap Hours

Probably the most discussed issue on here but I was wondering if any tech or anybody had an fsm with how many hours a transmission swap was or if anybody wanted to tell me how much it was last time they did it. I am trying to decide if I want to do it myself or have it done since it is getting cold outside.

shop with skills/knowledge = under 4 hours
shop without skills = 6 hours
You at home--on the floor,,should this figure include the Emergency Room visit?

iirc acura gets 4 hours book time on a warranty replacement
that would equal 6 hours billable for a regular shop

I believe book gives 6 hours R&R trans, plus 10 hours rebuild on trans

service managers or similar--is that a correct figure?

If anyone had a DIY on the transmission swap on a TL 2000, that would be great. I don't need one yet, but I am always in 'planning' mood. Got my 1st transmission at 99K, covered by Honda.

No diy that i know of but the link to DL the service manual is floating around that i posted a week or 2 back. It has the instructions in it.

I have also given the basics many times on trans removal, if one were to do a search .
