i just installed a v2 not too long ago, i had it on for about 3 weeks and now my engine check light came on. so i got it obd2 and it says im gettin low reading. help i called da dealer n they said i gota buy a new tb

 

well if it says you have a low TPS reading then you can always remove it and test it yourself with a DVM. a TPS shouldn't cost too much so i don't see why you couldn't get one and put it on yourself. the idea that they told you to buy a new throttle body bothers me.

ok but wat sensor is it? if ur openin the hood i see 1 on top 1 one side and 1 on bottom? and i was told dat it has screws and wats a dvm? da dealer said dat it aint sold seperatly and ill have to buy a new tb at 500 and some change. but if i can take it out and run a test then i will do dat. thanks guys oh again wats a dvm?

ive seperated # 8 from the throttle body and boy did i find a mountain of carbon. i cleaned it up and the engine light went away. yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa save me some money

 

Instead of a new $550 TB , it needed a little bit of elbow grease! Well done. I love it when that happens.
