Shakey steering wheel

Shakey steering wheel

I had new cross-drilled rotors and pads installed and had them on for about a month until I realize that the direction is wrong (installed my a mechanic that never installed cross-drilled before) so I had him redo them and now the steering wheel shakes when breaking at high speeds.

Whats the problem? how can this be fixed?

May need to re-bed the pads.

Only thing I can think of, since the rotors L and R rotors were swapped.

Sorry but what does re-bedding the pads mean?

Well i installed new rotors and pads thinking it will cure my steering wheel shake and high speeds when braking and its still doing it urggggg.

Could need alignment or wheel balance.

ive got the same thing on my car, its a 2001, but im not sure why because i just bought it used back in february. let me know how you fix it. maybe a front end wheel alignment?

If it happens when you brake its a rotor issue. Have the pads and rotors turned at minimum, best is to replace.


Also rear rotors can cause it as well so dont just assume since you did the fronts and it still does it it should be fixed.
