okay so just dropped a new tranny into my 2002 tl type s and i drove it around and then bammmmmm starts acting up again
i drove it halfway home and figured keep goin
my engine over heats now i just but new oil in and new antifreeze in and im also thinkin bout doin a a/t to m/t tranny swap ne ideas and if u have done this can u maybe lemme no how much it cost to do and a list of parts with prices??
any help would be good at this point
im a mechanic at 17 yrs old and i just dnt no ne more

If your motor is overheating it sounds like something wasnt hooked up or something. Your motor shouldnt be overheating from the trans being bad. You may want to double check every thing.

 

thermostat working properly? did u air out the cooling system according to honda?

 

i found the reason y it was ova heatingg it was cuzz wen i put the radiator back in i filled it up and didnt top off wen i opend the capp my street was flooded with smokee lol so i put some water in wen it cooled down and it should be good now as far as my tranny goes i think its a sensor from my throttle body to the tranny and its stuck in safe mode the sensor got snagged on sumthing wen i took the engine out to change the tranny and pulled 2 wires out
i will up date tomm from my shop and let every one how it goes
