same old transmission problem

ok so i know ive posted this problem before, but ive decided to say the hell with it and purchase a new transmission. the one i have right now is still in working order but definetly is on its 1st few steps to going bad once again since the dealer where i purchased it at had it rebuilt at 119k miles.. the car is going on 153k miles, not bad for the year id say since its a 99. Ive asked this question before but can a 01-03 transmission be put into a 99 with no problem? what do i have to change besides the dash? i was even thinking of buying a 05 transmission i found online but from the threads ive read noone is sure if it will even fit into the 2nd gen TL. id like to find out asap so i know what to put on my christmas list this year

Probably less headache if you trade the car in for a 3G or 4G TL. Some people are still reporting failure problems with the rebuild 2G trannies.

you dont want an 01-03 tranny, the failure rate is higher.
