HID Replacement cost

Can anyone tell where the cheapest place to purchase so I can replace my original HID'S? The car is a o3 and has 105k miles. They seem to weaker and a lot more bluer than at first.
2ND Question: How can I get my Fogs to run by themselves like a running lite WITHOUT the normal headlites being ON also?
Again thanks for any help?

For an original equipment replacement, you'll want 4300K D2R bulbs.

The lowest price, by far, that I was able to find for a pair of new Philips bulbs was ~$69 shipped via eBay. That's less than $35 a bulb.

If you decide to give ebay a shot, be sure to check the seller's feedback and watch out for used "low time" bulbs. I would only buy new bulbs. The seller that I bought from, akinaboy, does not have new D2Rs for sale right now

I changed my bulbs a couple of weeks ago and it's fairly easy to do. You'll need a tamper-proof Torx T-20 driver to remove the bulbs. I found one of these in a 4 driver set at WalMart for about $7. Search the forum and you'll find some helpful posts on how to change them.

My original bulbs had also faded over time and the new bulbs really light the road up better. It was a startling improvement.

I just bought some "low time" bulbs from Akinaboy. I only needed one, but I got the set for $59. I really can't tell a huge difference from a brand new bulb. And yes, I have ordered new bulbs from Akinaboy as well.

Yes, the HID bulbs are for the low beams.

I have a quick question...how many people actually upgrade their high beam bulbs. Are there really bulbs that are better/brighter than the OEM's?

The brightest low beam HID bulbs, in terms of lighting up the road, are the stock 4300K bulbs. You can go to higher Kelvin ratings but you sacrifice useable light on the road.

I'm not sure if you can get brighter high beam bulbs.
