Hello All,

Last week some knuckle head clipped my drivers side mirror and took off without so much as a note saying they were sorry. The assembly is fine, but the mirror glass is completely shattered. I have been looking everywhere I can think and can not find any instructions or guides on how to replace just the mirror glass. I am hoping that one of you fine people might be able to point me in the right direction.

I should have probably mentioned this, but I have a 99 Acura TL

 

Shouldn't matter too much, the mirrors are all the same. It is the same part number too

 

Thank you but that thread really didn't help much. Looks like I guy posted some pictures a while back but they don't load now.

 

If only the mirrored glass is broken, just carefully remove the remaining bits of glass. Underneath, there should be a couple of actuator posts which the new mirror glass can be attached to.

If ya don't feel comfortable doing this, take it to most any local body or glass shop. Shouldn't be that difficult or cost too much if the mirror housing is still good.

 

This happened to me. My mirror was perfect, but the glass was smashed. I found a used mirror on Ebay for only $30, shipped. It was the whole assembly in perfect condition, already painted. Much easier to replace than removing the glass from the housing.

 

Thats what I tried at first but I cant find one in my color... all they seem to have is black.
