Driver Window Won't Work 2002 Tl Type S
Driver Window Won't Work 2002 Tl Type S
Hello,
I have a 02 Tl Type S. All of my windows except my front left window work. At the master driver switch I could open and close every window except the driver window. I thought maybe the switch was bad so I replaced it. No luck there still didn't work. So I thought maybe it's the regulator and motor. Nope! Replaced that and it still didn't work. I know this is all kind of backwards but I then checked the fuse and it had indeed blown. So I went ahead and replaced it. Only thing is my battery is old and I'm trying to sell the car so I didn't want to shell out too much for a battery so I use a jump pack when I need to move it. Well after I put in the new fuse and tried to jump it using the pack it said "battery protected, unplug and try again". When I take the fuse out it let's me jump the car no problem. Does anyone have any thoughts? I just pulled the relay out and I'm going to put in a new one, but it wouldn't make much sense for it to be bad because all of the other windows work.

Sounds like your fuse is closing a circuit in an undesirable way. Have you tried removing the door switch (the plug that leads into it) instead of the fuse? perhaps there's a problem there and that's causing the problem. Shame that you replaced the motor and regulator without checking those other things...
