Car won't start

What's up guys,

Thought I'd see what the experts think.

First of all: 2003 TL - 54,000 miles

Yesterday and this morning whenever I started my car it seemed like my car was struggling to start. It's been colder the last few nights so I thought it was just cold. Today when I was leaving work all I got was clicking. My wife jumped me(the car geeez)and it started right away. It's in the garage. My battery is original and I have done a few power related modifications like 6000K Fogs, Avic pop up navigation and 6000K lows to match my fogs all in the last year and a half. Battery, Alternator, ????? any suggestions before I take it in?

You can measure the output of your alternator, if you have a multimeter, or you can take it to local auto parts places they run free tests.

5 years and 54k miles is pretty good for an original battery, could be your battery isn't holding a charge like it should. I used to buy high CCA batteries just for the winter time.

Doubt its your alternator though.

I agree.

The battery would be my first guess, then the alternator.

Battery. Due to the additional electrical drain on system I would consider going with an Optima Yellow. Do the Google thing to learn more about the Optima.

Went to NTB for free test and battery was bad. Got a new, stronger battery with a warranty, hopefully this will be the end of my power problems.

Thanks for the suggestions.
